Good morning, friends.

DOES NOT COUNT

No no no... I fear the thought of you and a pressure cooker. You will have a splodie for sure. Guys just don't need pressure cookers. Take the time and use a crockpot. Even I get a little tense with my pressure cooker.

Hey! I'm a guy, and I happen to be a very good cook. Just saying. . . (Sorry, the gender studies professor in me couldn't let this slide.)

G'Morning Fran! I'm on my way to Columbus for a training meeting for work, 2hr car ride each way, fun, fun, fun........Not!

Say hello to "Cowlumbus" for me. I did my doctoral work at THE Ohio State University. I actually really miss Columbus, but it's changed a lot since I was there.

I this wasn't totally gender based but know it came off that way. Both my boys cook as well as I do but if you read LDs posts on all of this you will see he seems rather inexperienced and for that reason should not start with a pressure cooker. It would be safer to start at crock pot and move up.

Fair enough, Joan. I wasn't trying to start anything over this. For the record, though, it was this sentence "Guys just don't need pressure cookers" that raised my eyebrows. It's really not a big deal. . .

Speaking of which, I was just given a 20% off coupon from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I may actually use it to buy new pressure cooker. I know they make a lot of people nervous, but the newer models are really safe as long as you follow directions. And, yes, the nice thing is that you can cook a meal very, very quickly.

Yeah... didn't think you were but it made me want to clear it up as sometimes I don't explain myself well. If you get that new pressure cooker, let me know what you think. They are spendy and I don't use one enough to justify the cost but they are completely different than the old style ones. My favorite appliances are my Breville elec wok because it gets super hot and my rice cooker because it makes great rice everytime and it sings those cute little songs to me :D

My last time through school I went to culinary school... didn't graduate.. had 6 wks and then 3 months of externship left to go but we moved to AK and just wasn't logical.

hello everyone!

if you would, check out this site mixify.com

they are a big brand dance music company that offers various streaming services for djs and musicians.
they reached out to me to assist with a broadcast of a big dj from a private location here in tucson!!
Tru-Vibe will receive promotion and exposure the likes of which we have never experienced!!!

An amazing, and unexpected happening!

5. I love my pressure canner, I buy big pork roasts at 1.50/lb and can them, great for making dinner quick and tasty. I do the same with beef and meat sauce.

nothing like cooking a big pork roast with some baby red potatoes carrots and onions, dont forget to add a few piecces of celery or a pinch of celery flakes
