Wow am I tired tonight. I ran a bunch of errands and went to the gym. It was the fourth day in a row that I've worked out--and I'm really feeling it tonight. Everything just aches, and my head feels a little foggy. . .

One thing that I did today was visit our new Ikea. It was kind of surreal experience. Every Ikea I've ever been in was gigantic--this store was slightly bigger in area than a convenience store. It was very strange (and the selection was just awful).

im also liking the new Avi!!

There isnt a single b&m on your whole island!!??
maybe i should visit...... ya know, to scope possible locations. hehehe

the only shop in PR would do so well, could set own price points, with no competition it could be a gold mine. just sayin. you should consider it..
i might be able to find an investor to bank roll a store. is there a reason, i wonder, that a shop doesnt yet exist there?

Not a one. Even the one smoke shop that I know doesn't carry anything. Besides myself, I've never seen anyone in Puerto Rico vape. Things tend to be slow to catch on here for a number of reasons. For example, no one carries K-cups for the Keurig machines--I have to order mine and have them sent (fortunately Keurig ships free). I honestly think that this is businesses being convinced that particular things won't be popular, so they don't ever give anyone a chance to buy them in the first place. It's one of the things that drives me nuts about PR.

@DOC, why have i never asked you about the devils triangle in which you reside!?
any bizarre phenomena?

Honestly, until you mentioned it, I didn't even know. I've never heard of anything strange, but the deepest part of the Atlantic is just north of the island--the Puerto Rico Trench (which is also a fault line). The deepest part of the Trench is over five miles deep.

Been thinking about dinner for the last 30 minutes or so. I was actually planning to make meatloaf again--given that I threw the last one out. It's too late, though. I think I'll just fix some eggs and a salad, and I'll save the meatloaf for tomorrow. Got myself a new probe thermometer, too--this one doesn't have a silicone covered cord (it's just metal--which I bet gets very hot). Honestly, I paid a lot more than I wanted to pay to get one that wasn't silicone coated. I know it's generally safe (and I used the damn thing for 8-10 years with no problems), but now it's a psychological thing for me.

Angel--that's very nice of you to offer advice. My father, a retired lawyer, won't even give me the most basic advice when I've asked. His response is always, "that's really not my area of expertise."

Unfortunately domestic law is what we handle a lot of. I figure I can offer guidance to get him started and to know what to do to protect himself. I've wanted to say something since I first read of what happened, but I didn't want to be too forward or seem like a buttinski. :)

I agree with everyone, no need for you to apologize, sweet friend. It takes a while to adjust to doing everything from the chair.... believe me, I know. It is a hateful thing that you must make friends with. That is the funny thing. After a while,
it is much more familiar and seems almost like part of you, which is even stranger. lol

I am not having a great day, but hey....... I am hanging in there.

hugs,
morri

I need to apologize to all the Tree People for being so negligent since I returned from the hospital. Being back home is almost as over-whelming as was being in the hospital in the first place

There is SO much to do, to catch up on AND to change the environment to accommodate a wheelchair lifestyle. In the hospital, all the doors are four feet wide. At home, they are slightly wider than the wheelchair. Plus, I have to allow for junk on the floor, turning radius of the chair..In other words, LOTS of work to do and LOTS of business to catch up on.

So, briefly, my apologies for being neglectful of my Tree Peeps!

We're a pretty direct bunch, in general. That said, I understand what you are saying--unsolicited advice can be really annoying (particularly when it comes out of the lips of the woman I call "Mom"--but that's another story).

Well, I'm calling it a night. I'm probably two hours from going to bed, but I'm just going to plop my aching body down in front of the television. The Survivor finale was tonight, and I need to watch it. (Yeah, not my proudest admission, but I've never missed a single episode of Survivor!)

Well I thank you and will do so if it is ever needed............ hmm might be better to get guidance before it is needed.

 Sharing helpful and informative information is never ever unwarranted, especially if it will help someone get though troubling times . . . AND - IMO, Not enough people do share and just let someone who is uninformed stay that way and just suffer though it all when there is absolutely no need to . . . SO - It is very kind and NICE of "You" to offer to provide some help, especially to "Our" Friend . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)
