You know that it's been too long since you cleaned your office when you come across a receipt from Borders.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

I thought "You" lived on an Island that didn't have any "Borders" . . . ;)

#3 A friend of mine had a baby yesterday. C-section, she'll be in the hospital another day. I never know what kind of presents to get rich people with rich friends, so I've been baking cookies today. Cookies, cookies, cookies... nom, nom, nom. Cookies! :)

Cookies sound like the perfect rich personal gift! They don't have the time to do it themselves, nor can you just go out and buy a homemade cookie, plus the time involved shows how much you care!

Funny, Uncle, about the "borders." I guess, technically, the borders are the Atlantic Ocean on the north and the Caribbean Sea on the south.

It was actually very sad when Borders closed--it was the only place to buy books in English on the island. Of course, I can't remember the last hard copy book that I have bought anyway!

Ding--hope it wasn't the brownies that made you sick. . .

#4 I made 3 batches of dough, I'll cook them fresh tomorrow.

A. Oatmeal and raisin, just enough cinnamon to know it's there. "Healthy"... for a cookie.
B. Dark chocolate chip with pecans. Traditional.
C. Gingerbread. Tis' the season. Soothes the stomach, or so I'm told. Anesthesia and pain killers can make all food "icky".

I'm going see her in the hospital tomorrow afternoon... I wonder which will be a hit and which ones will be given to the hubby and other kids?

Edit:
made some soft brownies..I am sick........
Sorry for you Ding. "Word to the wise", don't eat soft brown stuff.

Why do we give words to the wise anyways? They should know already.

Re-Edit: You're probably wiser than I... I didn't mean anything mean.

#4 I think..I lose count!!
That's something I know a bit about. Under the ECF banner and first row of tabs (Forum, Live Chat, Blogs...) you might see "What's New", "New Posts", "Private Messages", etc...

Click on "What's New" and select "My Posts". You go to a page with a bunch of threads, each one has a little triangle arrow (>) to the right of the thread name, this will take you to your last post in that thread. There are other ways to find what you've been doing but that's been the fastest for me.

Tell her to forget the "Hubby" & "Kids" - If she doesn't want them send them to "Me," especially the Oatmeal & Rasin w/ Cinnamon . . .

3- MMmmMM cookie yum yum yum lol.
Tonight is my friday night thankfully. Weather is looking like I might get a couple days to fly my models, funny thing is that I also do not have any Dr's appts either, so it truly is a day off. Our daughter is going to a sleep over as well, so we will just have the 3 year old with us.

5- Arg work is a 4 letter word when your doing a job that is so mindless and tedious. Me and the wife are still looking at post army options, still a ways off but I hate leaving much to chance. If all goes right, and I get both the Army and VA rating that I am looking for most likely we will both be full time students with our GI bills and my disabled combat vet benefits and be making more than we are now, in a area that costs about 1/5th as much to live in, and without any student loans or other issues to get us further into debt.
