01/03 Entry #2 . . .

The weather people here are saying it is not expected to get out of the 60's today ("It will be a struggle to get to the upper 60's") and hopefully back up to the 70's - 80's by the weekend . . .

SO - Why are some of "My" Friends trying to so hard to convince "Me" to move back up North . . .

Nope - Na Da - Not Happening . . .

It's - Bad enough that I have to go up North every 5-6 weeks during this time of year . . .

I know what you mean Uncle....40's here and it's going to be a beautiful sunny day.........

YEP - I hear Ya' . . . Unless it is below 30 degrees outside, not that cold for "Me" . . . Yet, today there are people around here with sweaters on . . . Worse thing is when it get's to or below 55 degrees - people start wearing heavy winter style and leather coats . . .

Wow, I'm sorry that so many of you are dealing with miserably cold weather. It's a little dark and dreary here today, but it's about 75 degrees outside. My SO, though, lives in a small town in Minnesota where the high yesterday was zero and the low was -22.

Yeah, Uncle, I'm with you. . . I don't have any desire to move back to a really cold climate! The truth is that I actually like (and miss) winter, but I can do without the frigid temps. And, yes, when it gets around 70 degrees here people start wearing sweaters. . . and I start making fun of them.

#2 115-degree temperature difference between International Falls, Minn. and Key West yesterday.
I NEVER know which one to pick. Ive tried (in a panic) to search the threads here while placing the slowboat order, always feel like i select wrong....
Hope both my vbreak and slowtech order arrive today.
i need new toys to play with.
Levi has s crap-ton of toys, as you could imagine, in every room and recess of the house, yard, car and grandmas house, along with any restaurant that has the pleasure of serving us......

did you say you got a squape? how do you like it?
HK post always did me right before they switched the default to SG, so far it's living up to previous experiences. Order shipped via SG left China on 12/19, still in US customs as of today. Order shipped via HK post shipped 12/24 passed through US customs today, I might even have it Monday. :)

I've been hearing the e-packet is the way to go, I'll find out in a couple of weeks or whenever my other little order ships. I too have those switch magnets in perpetual "re-stocking" mode. I'm guessing HK post is still pretty good, around 2 weeks is not bad.

The Tobeco SQuape is pretty nice.
Positives:
Easy to build
Very few parts
Great threading
Adjustable center pin
Holds about 5ml
A tad airier than KF or Fogger, drilling to open intake more IS possible
Insulated deck & chimney (no accidental shorting)
Mine had a glass tank tube, YMMV
No brass or oxidizing parts unlike other BFT clones
**No need to empty tank to re-coil and wick!** <- best feature
Negatives:
Heavy
Tall
Almost 23mm diameter (looks great on a Provari)
3mm hex key required for chimney but NOT included
Replacement plastic tanks only so far (not really an issue)
Not all drip tips will fit (short recess, like the Fogger)
Airflow non-adjustable (didn't bother me)

I'm only on day 2, I might learn more in the future.

I had to take the day off, Wifey is not having a good day. Wish I could make the trip LD but I'm stuck where I am for now.
Sorry bud, I hadn't read anything in a while and assumed she was doing better. Healing thoughts headed your way, stay home and take care of the nice lady. I hope she feels better soon.
