I expect that the military do things the way they do to be better prepared.

One thing I definitely don't like about the phoons is I have to take the sat dish off - big piece of sheet metal sitting out there ain't a good thing. At least I modified mine so I just unbolt the dish from the bracket which stays in place so don't need to mess with realignment when I put it back. Also marked the bracket and the mounting gear is case the bracket ever gets out of position.
Haven't decided when to take it off yet - there's a show on tomorrow evening that I's like to see.

On things like this it's more like overkill cause they really don't know. Plus there have been times in the past that they got bit in the rear for not putting out the proper info or in time.

And this after you just got it properly mounted, no?

Yeah, only had it up for a couple weeks now. But with leaving the bracket in place I don't have to mess with any of the alignment or tuning stuff - 6 bolts and just the dish part comes off the bracket.

Well, good luck with everything. Storms can be real trouble, so hopefully this one works out okay for you. I need to get to bed.... was letting my shorts soak after having a glass of red wine spilled on me. Still, it's 11:30 here and I need to get up early enough to get my kids moving for Mothers Day before taking my friend's son to the airport--all before the soccer games start. Good night, mac (although for you it's probably more like lunchtime...).

15 min

playing around with the post features a bit today - finally figured out how to do the multi quotes again
looks like they took away the strike character function - I think I remember seeing it a day or so ago - maybe I'm just not looking in the right place

May the force be with you.
As a non-drinker of coffee with your lack of sleep, you're gunna need it!
Yep... it will be a long day. Capped off with dinner with my mom, this evening. I'll probably be nodding off into my food...
