Bummer JPF. We had ours quit working last week, and again 2 weeks ago (we have one at home and one in the shop). We bought a regular Mr. Coffee and a French Press. I can publicly state, here and now, that I will never again go without a French Press. Makes great coffee and there are no moving parts to fail.

Bummer JPF.....isn't that one not very old?......it seems we went through this last year.....I guess it just goes to show that they don't make them like they used to...#2

Didn't have a good start to Wifey's birthday, coffee pot quit working, I had to go buy a new one, Wifey wanted coffee and donuts.

Your memory is very good Liblue, it was only about a year old. We had a Bunn before that and it lasted over 10 years. I wish I could afford another one but this cheapie one will have to do for now.

Well Treefam it's getting to be about that time....I am going to go sit in the bath with cool water for the rest of the afternoon(it's already 71)....or at least dream about doing that....have a great day everyone....

3. Jpf, that really does bite about the coffee machine...they really don't make them like they used to. I have been through about 3 or 4 in the last 5 years!

1. Hi treefam. I haven't been online today because I'm still miserably sick. Thankfully hubby is off work today and he finally decided to get the house cleaned and do the laundry that has piled up over the week now that I've been sick.

I know what you mean about coffee makers. I had one that lasted 7 years of being on all day every day. Ever since that one kicked the bucket, it seems like I have to buy a new one every 6months or so.
Angel, I so jealous of you having a water bed! I had one most of my teen years and loved it. I haven't ever slept as good as I did on a water bed. We tried finding one several years ago and couldn't find one anywhere. Now we have a Temper-Pedic mattress and it's ok, but I wish I had a waterbed!

6/8 - 3: Yup, they don't make things like they used to, it is about making another dollar each year. We had a coffee maker that lasted years, now they last a year at best.
6/8 #1 Afternoon/evening tree fam Busy day so far...Agree..the less moving parts (on a coffee machine) the better! Mine has been a champ so far..tho with all this belly up conversation, it could just give out any second...
Loved the smell of coffee brewin in those big restaurant style percolators. Ma only got hers out when we had like 6-10 folks over for Sunday dinner.

4. Well almost time for me to head out of here and head to Wally World...unfortunately I also have to go serve a couple of people with papers, but at least I get paid extra for that!...Good thing because it means I'm going to be really late getting home tonight!

So I wrote notes, spent hours building an intro, bought a camera clip and dug out my tripod. I was finally ready to do my first video vloggish reviewish thingy and all my devices popped up crying for charging simultaneously. Can't make this stuff up...

Finally sitting down to try getting some work done. The morning was filled with phone calls and emails and then I had to visit the FRAD's house and go through a ton of mail (most of it junk). I had hoped to visit him today, but the phone calls and email postponed that to tomorrow. Sigh.

5. Got my shopping done, got the papers served to both people and came home and sat down with a little drink to unwind...now I'm about ready to pass out...time to call it a night and get comfy in my recliner...good thing I'm already an expert at falling asleep in it!
