Back in the broom shop. We have 80 children between k and 6th in the park today... ugh. ..

I like children. Yes, I do.

Baked or boiled or in a stew.
Show them something cool and they will be eating out of your hand....

The green skin tone seems to be fading faster and I no longer need the purple pants...

Waiting to see how many get that reference.
I got it right away! :D

:toast: Congrats jpf! :toast:

GMO - Thank you for your continued generosity and the cool hangout spot!

@Utsuru Welcome to the Tree Family! This is the best thread on the net. We never want to make someone feel uncomfortable, it is true we are like a family here but there's always room for a new family member! You'll find some of the nicest and most helpful people here.
So true!

Welcome to our little group Utsuru! We all started out new here, but no need to feel shy with any of us...new Tree Peeps are always welcome...it's a very big tree and plenty of room for everyone! :D...I know when I started on this thread I felt kind of like you, that there was already an established group, but I just started posting stuff and pretty soon it felt just like home to me...now they can't get rid of me even if they wanted to! :p
Ditto!

jpf - Happy belated B-day to Wifey! :bday:

Angel I would have loved to be sleeping on a cold waterbed.....instead I was tossing trying to find a cool place on the sheet.... It's going to be even hotter today...I don't know what I am going to do...
Try a spray bottle filled with water, opened windows and a fan. :thumb:

It's going to be about the same here....high 80's to 90.....there is no relief insight as the nights are in the high 60's-70's....
It is absolutely unbearable.....the sun is in the windows from 4-9 PM and it's so golden yellow & hot...
I would go out at night to avoid it...but then still have to come home to sleep in it....so it's doesn't much matter...

Back from my errands. The remnants of Hurricane Blanca appear to have missed us with regard to rain--the weather map shows the rain moving out over the ocean to reach Los Angeles and east into the desert and Arizona--leaving us with overcast skies and extremely high humidity.

The good news is that my errands are done and I can (hopefully) focus on work this afternoon.

Oh I hate to be a downer...but I wish that was all it would take is a new bed for me to be able to sleep....
I am happy for you Shawn....don't misunderstand me....I am just hot, tired and miserable...

You're never a downer, blue...

We had a nice king, but it didn't quite survive the move 9 years ago.

We bought a queen set, but it was a showroom set and was about as nice as a cardboard wrapped brick.

We bought a used queen that was a little better, but needed something extra so we put an 8" memory foam topper on it, and felt confined like eggs in a carton.

Finally, today, after 9 years of uncomfortable mattresses, we have something that might work...
