LD what you gonna do if DW holds you to your word! 8-o
i'd tell her i dont recall ever mutter such an empty promise!
1)Nice! Work your way down on the nic and stop buying mods/atties... eventually she won't think about it as much, hopefully.
2)Not nice, sorry. I still haven't had a e-liquid leak in my lap, my day will come and it will likely be just as inconvenient. I thought your Vamo threads were stripped enough to let go of the clearo first. What kind of clearo was it?
its happened 2 or 3 times over the last year. last time it happened i pulled the cart out of the pyrex tank. that was more of a mess.
yes the threads are messed up. its like wider now and only catches the threading when it is 1/4 turn way from the pin. i can almost push a cart to within less than a mm of the pin, 1/4 turn and its on. it was an iclear16, the first thing that i grabbed this mornin in my usual hump day hysteria. and i got it to fit on the vamo with a tad bit of force. i am not sure if it caught in the well or maybe i just over tightened it (the force) and the base stayed and the rest well, see above. :)
my hands smell nice tho, even after a couple washings.

Hey Schnarph.. a quick question!
I bought an mechanical Mod Omega from the well-known Techie people. It is chrome plated barss and is top fired. It is hefty, which I like, and works well. The only problem is it's "scritchy" when the top in pulled down to meet the bottom (IS scratchy a word?)

Being mechanically inept, it there anything I can do from the outside to alleviate the problem? I would NEVER attempt to take it apart.
It was VERY inexpensive but I love the way it works and feels

Do you have some Noalox yet? I would apply a small amount and repeat until noticing a difference. You may need to get it in there with a toothpick or something similarly small. I don't own one so I don't know how the top cap comes apart or if it's even easy to do. It might not help but it can't hurt, and having some Noalox or No-ox-Id around is a good idea in general. Other than that, I'm not really sure what you can do that won't hurt the mod.

Every time I try to buy some from Home Depot or Lowe's, they look at me like I'm a total idiot(not far from the truth, I might add)
Looks like I'm going to have to get some Ebay, which I hate doing!!1

I'm glad you like the Chocolate Tiramisu, which has become a best seller!. I didn't think I'd ever find a coffee-like vape that I would like...but I did!
Thanks, DB!

I hate getting attitude from those guys, especially when asking for something they should have in stock. Last time that happened to me I wanted non-conductive ant poison spray for well/pump control unit... the ants really like electricity and they swarmed the auto-toggle switch causing it to malfunction. This is very common out where I live. I had to call an electrician who had the proper stuff, most of these sprays will conduct electricity which would just make things worse. I had to go all the way up to the general manager at Home Depot, who had some idea of what I was talking about but no clue as to where I could purchase some. Everyone else looked at me like I was crazy. Before that I needed some butyl tape to repair/rebuild some foggy I.G. units, even the guys in the window department had no idea what I was talking about. I found out later that they don't carry it but somebody should have known what butyl tape is other than the thin, wide stuff for installing around new windows. Later I needed foam insulation tape for sealing the gap around the sides of door and bottom of a window... it took over 30 minutes to find someone that knew what that was. I've gotten to the point where I know where more items are in that store than most folks that work there.

Pardon the rant, it's a sore subject for me. Those idiots waste so much of "our" time, and treat us like we are the fools.

One more line, and I'm off the subject...

"Dumb as a bag of nails". OK, got that out of my system. :)

GMO, I'll order some no-ox-id for you from Epoop if you like. I don't mind at all but it will take a week for me to get it and another few days before it gets to you... maybe 10 days in total. You can get Noalox on Amazon but the smallest size is 4oz, that's way more than you will ever need unless you plan on coating all your light bulb threads and whatever else you can find. They also have No-ox-id A-special, 2oz for the same price as 4oz of Noalox (that's normal). You could order a 0.5oz tube of Noalox from HomelessDepot for under $3 and pick it up in the store, that's what I would do. :2c:

Thanks, Schnarph!
I found a pic of the bottle on the HD website. I'm going to print it up and take it with me to the store. People are so visually oriented (as am I) that I expect that this might work. If it doesn't, I will surely take you up on your offer. :)
I did check on Epoop for it, but, with shipping, it was SO expensive that I decided to buy Gold Ingots instead!

I'm really looking forward to this afternoon... I'm off work Thursday through Sunday, so an extra long weekend :) Back to work on Monday though, for what appears to be a month long week. No days off until November :/

YAY for your long weekend, BOO for your overly long work week!
