By this weekend, I will be graduating from the school of Vamo. I will keep one in storage as a backup, but I have another SS Vamo V5 destined for the classies this weekend. I only mention that here as a heads up before some stranger gets it. ;)

When my new "toy" gets here, I will be sure to post pics. If not, it didn't happen. BTW, there is tracking on this one. :)

When I was raising orchids a few centuries ago, nicotine was the ONLY thing that would help control scale and mealybugs.
I had to be EXTREMELY careful with spray contact, including wearing long sleeves and rubber gloves, as well as a breathing mask. Like Malathion, it would make you very sick... if not dead.

Just be cautious if you are going to spray nicotine!!! I can't afford to lose any Tree People!!

I'm not wasting my nic concentrate on that! I have some e-liquids I don't care for but the nic is way too low and it would be a mess anyways.

Quick question, I've done 30 minutes of searching but the answers vary too much. EM crystals to 10% EM solution... 1/4 teaspoon per 10ml of PG, right? 1/4 tsp. = 1.23223 ml, but these are crystals not liquid, so that seems about right.

Good advice. I remember too that my sister and I had to stay indoors for a while when my dad sprayed, I'm sure using the proper safety attire. :thumb:

The instructions I received were the same, Schnarph. It seems right in my mix. I made cotton candy at 10% using the 10% sol'n and it tasted right as well.

You got it right!

My order status changed to shipped! What are the chances my weekend will include some banyan tree?!?

With the USPS, you NEVER know!!
If you are who I think you are, you ordered on the 5th and it shipped on the 7th, so you MIGHT get lucky!
:)

Thanks for the answers, I had to double check before getting the ultrasonic cleaner going. Including a batch of 30ml 10% EM, I have 240ml mixing tonight. Two 15ml bottles are experiments, Two 30ml bottles are slight variations on solid recipes, and the rest tried and true singular flavors. The 10% EM will have to be added later if anything needs it, I've never used it before.

I wonder how long I can stand to reach over and hit a button every three minutes...

Edit: when I found my nice, metal 1/4 teaspoon measure, it had both 1/4 tsp and 1ml stamped into it. I still needed to check on whether 10% was accurate or not, there are too many variations on that mix here on ECF.

If often seen it referred to as 10% EM in the DIY threads...
Then when I ordered fro OneStop, they sent me a little plastic 1/4 tsp with my order.

Had my first DIY disaster tonight. Had a friend at work ask me to make some juice for him to try. I also picked up some smaller syringes to get more accurate measures.
Anyways, I have heard that if you nuke a juice with the lid off for a few seconds, then shake it and let it cool, then nuke again it will basically speed steep it.
So, I'm sure you can see where this is going lol.
I evidently nuked to n long bexause when I opened the door to the microwave the 3 bottles were sagging slightly. I ran to grab them out of the microwave with a paper towel. They pretty much started to leak all over and I scalded my hand a bit from the plastic on my finger. I never would have thought 15 seconds could cause that, but then again they were only 5ml bottles.
Lesson learned, and something I won't do again.

I'd stick with the hot-water bath...

I hope your finger feels better. What a shame about the juice. I nuked a 120 ml bottle for less than 10 seconds and it was ok. I get a little nervous though as I am afraid of the plastic leaching into the juice.

"Nuking" e-liquid seems like too much of a shortcut even if it did work. I would also stick with the hot water bath, remove, shake, and repeat. Sorry about the hand, that's a tough way to learn something.

There are some nifty things you can do with a microwave though, like a bar of ivory soap makes powdered laundry detergent...

and it looks cool too!
