I have a tobeco stillare that I bought to hold me over while waiting for replacement parts for my MCV Atomic. The issue I'm having is when running it with a dual coil setup one coil will get hot legs well before the wicks start to dry. I didn't notice the problem with a single coil so the initial thought is that it was directly related to the particular negative post. Further testing of this theory resulted in the other coil beginning to do the same thing. Does anybody have any additional advise for how to fix it?

Things I have already done

Different gauge wire and different amount of wraps for each type
Cleaned thoroughly to make sure there was no loose kathal shards
Changed the screws around (same post had the issue)

26 and 28g used with ohm loads ranging from .2 to .8 with organic cotton as well as Tiger Tail for wicks. All combinations had same result within 20 minutes of fresh build.

hi zoidberg.

Is this a micro coil build. Sometimes it helps to strum the coils a bit to get it to start acting right. Additionally you may have that lead a linttle longer than it needs to be. Lastly . . . you may have a bad atty where the negative post is not connected properly to the base causing a current bottleneck (not really familiar with the stillare)

Where did you get replacement parts for your MCV Atomic? Love that atty, but mine has been out of commission because of bad orings =/

Well something new to add is that after not using it for 2 days I pulled the cap off to try a new build to find that wicks and the juice that had pooled on the screw heads had turned red (it was clear juice to begin with) The inside of the cap at the top also appears to have little spots that look to be the beginning of rust. Just going to toss it and call it a loss because that can't be safe to vape.

The replacements parts I were able to find at bevapehappy. I waited 2 months for the insulators to get in stock only to thrash the center post when replacing said insulator. Need to get that ordered asap before they run out.

ThNks for the info. Doesn't look like they have orings though :/
