I tried that cows hitch had a hard ttime keeping it tight.

I know Treehead uses that knot on some of his bulds, i know he digs it, i'd imagine you'de still have to trap the loose end's underneath the coil or between coil & post's.
They are juice guzzlers, i prefer a nano or supernano ontop a tiny bit of cotton, just enough for one hit. Less cotton to burn and you know when its gonna dry

Yeah he has some good coil build threads here I just built his coil-in-coil build it's awesome, but I've had better luck wrapping the strand of cotton around nano coil 3 times tying a overhand knot then tucking the knot under coil

ah i dont go to technical on my coils anymore, i've always ended up back to my useal coil's, either 26g nano's, micro's, open coil's or braided 32g, i must have used a few miles of wire since newyear, my mrs thinks im eating it, i felt a bit stupid when she asked me how long a coil is suppose to last & she'd see me make about 20 a day must resist!!

I don't like a-lot of cotton in my builds so I cut a pipe screen into strips, fold a strip of it into a U shape, then push it up into the drip tip(make sure it's snug). I haven't gotten any splatter in my mouth since. I use twisted 32ga in my builds and it does have a tendency to spit, especially when cold.

you can lightly roll it up into lengths before tieing

I did it. Used less cotton than I used to.
Can't really tell, but I cut the tails 1/4" longer and tucked them under the coil. Do I need any other cotton clouds?

Try and see, looks good might need some small clouds if u get dry hits easily
