Ok Gang, I am going to post OT (and I truly hope Jay does not mind this one OT post). I rarely do this and hope the discussion goes right back on topic (No thread-jacking intended - just sharing. Feel free to PM me). But I get the feeling this group of people might enjoy this (please note: I have no involvements in any way and I have nothing to promote. This is just something I do for fun and thought to share. I have absolutely no financial or professional involvements in the vape industry. Vaping got me off analogs and has become an obsessive hobby too):

I have found a group on-line that is a lot of fun. ElixirTV.com has these on-line live "shows" almost every night. It is all free so nothing to buy. Some nights get bigger audiences than others. There is a different host each night and the primary discussions revolve around vaping. Often, discussions diverge but we do laugh a LOT! There are a few cam slots where people who register (free) can activate their individual web cams and everyone can live chat so all can participate in the conversations. I would guess it is about 50/50 vendors/vape-enthusiasts.

Come check it out sometime. I do warn you, the discussions and language, while never really go too far, are not censored. The set-up is not perfected so you have to click on the main center "host" image to "join chat". That opens a new window that will not work. At the top of that new window, there is a link that says "Switch back" - click on this and the chat window will open. this is, at least, how I go in using an iMac. I think it is the same using Windows PC but I am sure you can figure it out. You can sign in w/o registering and chat but if you register you can use cams and internal PMs with other people in the room.

Come check it out and if you have fun, tell others because the bigger the group - the more we laugh! And, some of the hosts sometimes give away free juice in little trivia contests and such.

Thy, i didnt want to tell you this... but i must... i saw yours in person when i just metup with Jay... i saw both of ours... im very happy and excites about mine... it kinda looks like my wedding band (titaninum)... amd i love it... when i saw yours, i was amazes how good it turned out... i knew it was gonna look good when you sent me the link to the color you ordered... but then seeing in in person, was better than i imagined... same with mine... they look really good in the pics... but look 10x better in person... awesome choice Thy... and amazing work Jay...

i noticed a very small recessed switch on the charger's body itself... the switch appears to set the charger between 3v - 3.6v... it is current set to the 3v setting (i havent touched it) should i move the switch to 3.6v? Are my batteries not charging up to their potential with this switch at 3v? Anyone else seen this switch and/or know what it does or should be doing?

I really appreciate the offer for the etching Jay but couldn't accept. This is already an awesome prize as it is and with all you've already put with it and with letting me pick out the color and doing a custom one for me that is more than generous enough.
I think it will look just great as is with just the GLV on the cap.


Besides... if I put my forum name on it then I'll have to explain it to anyone that sees it and if I put my name on it .... well that'd look pretty boring lol

Plus chances are after seeing all these custom ones that one of these days, when I can, I'll be looking to get one done in blue and maybe I'll think of something better to etch on that one

...AND THIS JUST IN!! (Ok, not 'just' -- these pups arrived a few days ago but I wasn't around to meet them! Yeah, that's always painful!) I've had a 5V GLV since December and still love it lots, but since I purposely 'limit' myself to regular lower voltages the bulk of the time, I decided I could justify bringing on a couple o' new, 'enticingly ergonomic' 3.6V workhorses.

[Digression: I concur, those are some *HOT* customizations y'all are showing and talking about, congrats new and soon-to-be custom GLV owners!! But grrr, all that better not have completely diluted any impact a post about mellow minis in stock colors can have! ]

Please excuse the crummy cell phone cam pics; they do nothing to show off the actual richness of the gloss 'dark' blue and green colors, which I'd describe as royal blue and forest/hunter green. (In particular I couldn't capture the hue of the green at all in today's light with this no-flash cam, but Jay has decent pics of it posted elsewhere.) The colors came out just as I was aiming for -- very attractive yet still neutral, to better complement the many colors of cartos and atties I have... as well as to hint/whisper more so than SCREAM across rooms about their presence!

Short on time (& focus!) lately so this won't be a detailed review, but I did want to report how happy I am with my new toys, and despite the low quality pics, to contribute some size perspective on the minis. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they are, and feel, somehow much smaller than I'd anticipated! Sorry boys, I'm gonna hafta describe them as... PRECIOUS! Adorable! Cute as buttons! Importantly, also great size and button positioning for grabbing a steal/ish vape! Virtually everything can be covered with one hand, and you could probably pass for just covering your mouth as you cough or clear your throat.

(...a little something for Joy and TBM in the next one lol...)

...with some additional items for perspective below: reg & XL size KR8 batts, 3.6V AdapteveR and MrPuffer/MP1 (the latter of which is in itself particularly small, for a box mod).

FYI, altho I've only used AW brand 3.7V batts for months and intend to stick with those, out of curiosity I did try my old gray UltraFire 880 mAhs, since someone mentioned recently that some of theirs of the (supposedly) exact same type fit their GLV-2, some didn't. (Theirs was an HV unit but I'm assuming they were referring to tube width rather than length...) FWIW these batts do fit/work in my minis, tho I don't plan to use them. And mine are also from batteryjunction, which IIRC is the same place the other person got the ones that didn't fit (their transaction may have been more recent and if so more relevant tho). Such manufacturing variances within the same batt model are another good reason to go AW!

Anyway I'm very happy with these sweet little guys, I like them even better than I thought I would! Glad I went straight for a pair to serve as the minimum of two PVs I always have in rotation, and didn't bother playing wait 'n see. Very solid, high quality, visually appealing and !FUN! mods, oh and did I mention they vape like champs?! Thanks Jay for dreaming up the GLV line and putting your heart into crafting it!

Update on the AW Batts: So i took the freshly charged (switch at 3.6v) batteries off the charger at 3pm.. the time is now 9:23pm... 6hrs of vaping... minus about an hour ish that i was out riding my bike. My work day is 8hrs ++.. im deff gonna be needing some more batteries before i can start leaving my eGo at home....
