Welcome Cole. Congrats on trying vaping to drop the analogs (cigarettes). Many find this to be a great way to drop smoking. There are many wonderfully nice, helpful and supportive people in here (ECF).
The GLV2 is a great device! As a first device, it is a big step. There is much to learn and experiment with in ecigs. While this is sort of an advanced mod, there is nothing wrong with starting here. Just be patient with yourself, the device and the process. Some people drop analogs as soon as they get their first device. For me, I weaned off analogs over a month. Some take 2 or more months.
There are many combinations of attys, juices, cartos, etc. Each atty or carto has a different ohms rating (resistance) so the combination of volts (5volts in this case) with an atty or carto of a certain resistance will produce a heat level (watts). different juices respond differently to different watts levels. 5Volts is considered HV (High Voltage) and many recommend starting with 3.7. There are many different attys (atomizers) that you can use and finding the right ones for YOU and YOUR device and YOUR juices is ultimately going to come down to your own trial and error. Many will offer opinions but ultimately, it is your own taste buds, throat hit and comfort levels that will guide you to your own sweet spot for vaping.
The most common, general consensus, is that 8-ish watts is the sweet spot. If you want to reach for this level with this 5V device, you will want to look for atomizers and/or cartos that have an ohms rating in the 3.0 to 3.5 range. Various vendors sell them.
Of the different attys and cartos, each sort of has its own "personality" in terms of flavor, vapor production and throat hit. Many people like the 510 attys. While they are not my personal first choice, they are available in the 3.0 to 3.5 ohms range at various vendors. Other people like the 901 style and these are native 3.3 ohms in the regular version. There are the 801 series (these include the 801, BE112 and 302 models) and these are also - in their regular versions - native 3.1-3.3 ohms. There is now out a 306 HV atty that is 3.5 ohms and has the same threads as the 510.
Your device will most likely come with native 510 threads so if you want to try any of the 801 series or 901 (includes KR808 cartos) styles, you will need adapters. Adapters are cheap and just allow for different threaded attys to be used on a differently threaded device connection. Adapters are always stated model x to model Y. for example: 510 to 901. The first number is for the battery (or device) threads and the second number os for the atomizer threads. So, in this case, 510 to 901 means 510 battery (device - like the GLV2) to a 901 atomizer.
There are many juice vendors and you will have to learn for yourself what YOU like. As you get off the analogs, your taste buds will change and it is altogether likely that you will find some juices that you like in the beginning and later find you don't like them anymore and find new ones. Someone once said "you have to try 20 juices to find 2 that you really like".. That sounds about right to me so be patient and start out with smaller bottles.
Hope you find this post helpful and I am sure others will chime in here and elsewhere within ECf to help you. Don't be afraid to ask questions; we were all "noobs" at one time and you will find many many many helpful and supportive people in here.
Again, CONGRATULATIONS on taking the first steps into wonderfully fun and enjoyable to get rid of cigarettes. many find this to become a new hobby as there are so many different options. I wish you wonderful success with vaping!
