I wanted to say I have been using the High Drain 16340 by AW for a couple of weeks now on the GLV and other mods and they are Fantastic.. I also use them in the mini.

They pack a big punch.. Only rated at 550Mah per battery but they are awesome...

Much faster vape comes out using them. Awesome with LR atties on 3.7 devices.

Awesome too on the GLV 5v. Dont last as long as the 750Mah batts but are better in the short run.. I just wanted to let people know that no matter what mod you use that takes 16340's, They are better...

Agreed, I use only AW now.

hmm... I hadn't bothered trying the 14500 ones because I didn't think they'd really make that big of a difference. Guess I should order a set of these ones to try out in the GLV though.

Im confused... the 14500 AW's are not the ones that shipped my with my GLV?

what is the difference in the 14500 AW's thats so better than the ones that shipped with the GLV.. i ask because i DO need another set of batts for my GLV... i was going to order these at the suggestion of both Simplyrock & Jay... AW RCR123a Protected 750 mAh Battery

its my understanding according to Jay that those are the batts that shipped w/ my kit...

now knowing what im using.. why are the 14500's better? i did notice doots state they are less mah (500?) vs (750?)... so wont they last a shorter use cycle than the ones in my kit?

$hua, 14500 is a different size batt for other mods. The batt Jay referred to you is a great battery. 14500 is closer to the size of a AA battery. you will probably never see 14500 in a 5V or 6V device (actually, I can think of one device but...). What I suspect Thye was saying (I am sure Thye will correct me if I am wrong) is that 14500 batt is being used in a different mod, is probably not of the AW brand and Thye is now considering getting the AW 14500 (for that other mod) to compare. However, the difference may not be overtly noticeable in a quick side by side. It may or may not last a bit longer per charge (mAh is not always accurate and high drains are more designed for the intense type uses like vaping). Overall, the general consensus is that AW makes the best quality and safest batteries. And, most of them (perhaps all - not sure) are of the high drain variety. so, 14500, rcr123a, 18650, 16340 - these are all different sizes like AA, AAA, C, D, etc... (obviously, those alkaline battery sizes are just for analogy purposes), however sometimes 123a and 16340 may be interchangeable.

I only use AW batts. In my unregulated 6Volt devices, I only use AW LifePO4 (rcr123a) at 3V and use a charger like the ones Jay is sending out with the manual switch to limit the charge at 3 volts. They still come off the charger at about 3.2 tho. Almost all batteries will come off a charger higher than their rated voltages. Most 3.7 volt batts will come off a charger at 4.2 volts. Too many people buy the wrong batts and the wrong chargers. Often, people buy unregulated 6V devices and stack 3.7 batts which are each coming off a charger at 4.2 so they are actually vaping at 8.4 Volts. Granted, that extra voltage does drop off pretty quick but nonetheless... Stick with Jay's recommendations. :)

Hua,
I was referring to the 123 type batteries made by AW only.

There is a high drain and a reg Li Ion type 123.
both work in the GLVs.
The IMR high drain is a 550 Mah battery and the reg is a 750Mah.

I use both made by AW,

The ones Jay sends out are the ones that last the longest.

Neb.. thank you for the detail explanation, again i am literally brand new with this type of battery, (literally never used them before this)

thats really what i wanted to know... im quite satisfied w/ the hit i get off my GLV using a ~2.5ohm atty from ...somewhere else...

Now im just hunting for ~2.5ohm cartos... janty is supposed to be releasing a "Mega Carto" sometime very soon.. Totally wicked has them avail already at an outlandish price IMO (3.99per)... and they are prefilled.. and you have to shop with TW.. so its a fail fail situation on that one IMO.

As always.. thank you gentlemen for you rapid and excellent feed back.

Pretty sure NHaler already has the blank mega cartos and I think they are the same size only 3.3 oHms. I encourage you to at least try some 3.3 oHm attys. I assume you have the 5V model. As I posted earlier: 5x5/2.5=10 watts and that is pretty hot. I find my juices lose flavor at that heat level. On 5V devices, I use 3.3 oHm 510 attys, 901 attys (native 3.3 oHms) and 801 attys (also native 3.3). 5x5/3.3=7.57 watts = very nice and much better flavor from juices.

On 6V I use 4.5 oHm attys exclusively: 6x6/4.5=8 watts = again, right in my "sweet spot" for best vape. 4.5s are now available on 510, 801 and 901 (but my 901s are metering out at 5.0 oHms).

At 3.7 I use either 2.5 oHm 510 attys and i have been experimenting with LR in 510, 801 and now 306 (has 510 connector threads - great for bottom feeding like on my Journeyman otherwise you really need a needle tipped dripping bottle to feed it. These get pretty hot fast but really nice flavor from juices that like LR - sweet, fruity, etc but - for me - not tobaccos, menthols, mints).

Each atty model is a completely different vaping experience which you have to try for yourself to appreciate and see which you like best. Juices respond differently at different Watts and with different attys. For example, my Halo juices seem to not like LR vaping but can be very nice on 2.5 attys on 3.7 volts and HV. Tobacco flavors, tobacco menthols and PG juices seem to love HV. And, I find the more Vg is in a juice, the more flavor it loses above 8 watts.

Finding the "right" combination for your tastes and juices is very personal. I really like the flavor that comes from the right 901 combo but they leak easily and the draw gets sluggish quickly. For HV, I am torn between 801 and 510 - leaning towards the 801 but like both. The 801 is a bit cooler but it is way bigger and more obtrusive looking. Vape and draw is very different between all three.

The cartos that im currently using are in the 3.2 ohms range... and frankly they just dont put off enough vapor for me.

My hands down fav is 1.5ohm LR atty on my eGo, which im told is ~3.1v. The vapor coming off these is awesome and not as warm as 5v. That being said,, 5v @ 2.5ohm atty puts off slightly more vapor, but it is warmer,, and i HAVE noticed a decrease in the flavor of a couple juices i vape...

I have no real interest of how much these "mega" cartos can hold juice wise... what im primarily interested in is the ohm range... janty is advertising them at 2.65ohms which would be pretty close to a standard atty... which a standard atty at 2.5ohm is what i really like, if i cant have a LR atty on 5v for obvious reasons.. but the rate at which 5v burns off juice.. driping every 2-3 hits is getting bloody annoying, thus the hunt for a carto that can perform in the 2.5 range.

as far as 801/808.. 911.. 9/11 style atties.. i have have only tried the 510 .. and the RN4801 thats on SE's kits. Honestly i cant really afford or justify buying a bunch of atties to try them out and figure out whats best for me... all i can do is know what i like as far as 510 is concerned.. if someone points out a non 510 equivelent that "suits my needs' then i could possibly spring for ONE of them to test.

Thyes....I would definatly do that.It will most certainly enhance your GLV experience...and any other Mods you may use them with!

Worth the cost!
:)The Wiz

I shall grab some up then ;)

...snip... What I suspect Thye was saying (I am sure Thye will correct me if I am wrong) is that 14500 batt is being used in a different mod, ....snip...

Yes. My apologies for the confusion $hua.

I have another mod that takes the 14500 batteries and I have regular AW batteries for it but never bothered trying the High Drain variety for it because I really didn't think it could make that huge a difference. And that since doots was saying the High Drain version of the 123 type batteries does make a big difference in the GLV that I would give them a try.

Ok more GLV's going out today and tracking numbers as well. ETA on the ones at the etcher .. I should have them in my hands on Friday.

If you are looking to pre-order wait time is 3 days before it ships for custom colors , and custom etching 10 days -2 weeks. I am OUT OF STOCK on batteries so there will be body only kits available for a week or so.

I had to edit this because I forgot let you all know I ran out of adapters and 901, and 510 attys so if you get a bottle of juice that's why.... I have them on order.

UPDATE: Ok guys & Gals.. ive taken a careful eye while charging my batts... ive labeled each batt and i rotate positions midway through their use cycle.

Ive also been keeping a careful eye on how i charge the, their position in the charger and their length of charging. of the last 4 charges.. ive labeled the charger with slot 1 and slot 2. Each time i charge them "slot 1" on the charger is always the one that finishes charging first, regardless if batt 1b or 1t (top/bottom) is in that charging slot. It charges about 26min less than charger slot 2. In addition the charge for both batteries is almost 3hrs on the nose.

i know someone else mention that one of their batteries charges faster than the other... have you by chance taken notice if its the same charger slot each time? or the same batt each time?

I hope that's a good thing lol.

Batteries lasted for 12 hours today while at work. I sometimes go a few hours between vaping though... I am using 510 cartomizers from vaporkings and they work pretty well.

Advantage of Cartos:
$8 for 5! when attys cost $8 for 1!
Holds more liquid

Disadvantages:
If you are trying new flavors like cherry from vaporvalley and it tastes like ... you are stuck with this flavor for along time!! I heard of someone boiling them? I may give that a try.
ATM I got like 3 cartos I refuse to use because I may barf.

Anyways the GLV-2's first 2 days have been outstanding!
