GLV 3 poll

Option 1, still cheaper than Darwin, Eclypse and much better looking. That GLV3 is a stunner, won't be hard to sell at all.

I voted option 1, I like the idea of an all in one but... I would pick option 2 if there was a pass-through type add on for the glv2 / super mini that would screw on the end and plug in to charge the batteries. Although, that may not be possible to new to the game to know.

There's interest in both... May as well get going on the cheap ones, and then just get a small supply of GLV3+ or something trickling down.

I feel that if the device has a "captive" battery (needing return to GLV for battery replacement for most) then the device "should" work as a pass-thru. If it has a removable battery then it isn't really necessary provided it uses an 18650 battery as those last more than a day and easily replaced on the fly should the battery poop anyways.

HEH... unless your like me and only have one set of batteries... good thing I have extra coming with my super mini!

I'm buying it either way, but since it's really going to be the flagship of the GLV line, I think it should have a high-dollar version.

One thing you might want to consider is to incorporate a solid state voltage regulator like a DE-SW0XX. It gets like 87% efficiency so better battery life, less heat, and a much more constant voltage than a traditional resistor.

I just went back and re-read the whole thread to refresh my memory. The first time I read this, months ago, I thought the pricing was high. What can I say, I was a newb. Now I'd say it's right in line with any top notch mod if not cheaper AND it's a GLV.
