Definately #2. The first option would be cost prohibitive for most people plus I've never understood the need to change voltage on the fly.
Size is also a factor.
I'm with you Mist! As long as I can change the voltage when I want to I am happy! Cost effective is a plus for me!

If you want to reach more people and have more people enjoy the device and benefit of a vv juice feeder, then make the less expensive one.

If you want to make a rolls-royce vv juice-feeder that most people will only admire in pictures on the internet and think, "Wow, that glv3 is so nice and fancy...maybe one day!", then make the more expensive one.

All of the vv juice feeders that I know of are pretty expensive(over 150), so personally I would like to see one on the market that is a lower price range.

What price point are we talking about for both(approximately)?

I agree that more specifics would help make the decision easier and that having both available would be ideal. However, as the question stands I'm for Option 1.

We didn't get into the mortgage and credit crises without living beyond our means, so if that's what I have to do to own this thing, so be it!

I didn't vote yet. I didn't see the anticipated cost for the Option 2, so for me it's hard to cast a vote. If it's $110 currently for the GLV2 and estimated $180-$190 for the GLV3 option 1, do we assume that the option 2 would be in the $140-$150 range?

If so, then I would opt for the $180 V3-2 over the $150 V3-1. If it's $190 v.s. $120, well that's a different story. I think that if the price differential stays this side of 25%, the choice can be easier for option 2.

I'd opt for #2. Also, if that would allow you to shorten it a little, I see no need for the groove for the pinky finger. I would curl my little finger under the box. That's how I hold my cell phone. It would feel so clean that way. 3 grooves for the top three fingers. Have you already done the Beta test?

I have to agree with this assessment if picking Option 1 vs Option 2, until I know the price of Option 2 how can I decide.
