GLV 5V first impressions(pics)

i'm using it with a normal 510 atty and two 3.7v 16340's(cr123a)
and...

...meh, it's okay... let me list the reasons why i'm not saying it's the best i've ever used.

PRO'S

1. works!!!
2. button fires every time
3. batteries sit nice and tight
4. top mounted button is extremely comfortable
5. solid "feel"
6. loads of vapor

CON'S

1. very crappy finish on the welded atty connector.(warped the chrome finish)
2. button housing isn't flush with where it's sitting.
3. unit could have been shortened up about 3/4" if it didn't have such a gigantic spring.
4. upon further inspection, it just looks way too hand made for my likings.(visible wires, visible solder) i would have liked it to have been a little more "finished"
5. could have been extremely aesthetically pleasing...

as far as comparisons go, all i have to compare it with is the bb and a prodigy v2.

COMPARISONS

• glv works better than the v2(v2's button issues)
• glv is bigger than the v2(not by much)
• glv is definitely the least "finished" out of the bunch
• glv lacks in the "perfectly finished" category
• glv has the smoothest draw
• glv doesnt boil normal e-liquid like the bb(would recommend some high voltage juice with the bb)

BOTTOM LINE

• the glv 5V is a work horse that will provide you with tons of vapor and looks cool. it may not be perfect but i like it and hopefully always will.

so yeah, that's my first impressions of it. i still see myself using it all the time. it's still awesome. i just wish it could've been a little better in the quality realm of pv's. but hey, if it works, it works. and the glv definitely works thus far. if you have any questions, let me know. i'll try and answer them to the best of my ability. thanks guys and gals.

I am waiting for mine as we speak thanks for the review and pics.

I guess for me it was the button placement and the form function that I like best. Less like playing a flute and more like a detonator. Also, it looks durable and less likely to break.

yeah, the button placement is totally sweet. it appeared durable and it could withstand the test of time, but we'll see. im sure it'll hold up if you take care of it, just like everything else in life. glad i could be of help.

How does he lower the voltage to 5-volts? Have you checked it with a meter?

a resistor that is built into the button housing. and no, i have not checked it but i own 3.7v, 5v, and 6v devices and can honestly say that this is a true 5v device. it's a very nice vape. an all day vape if you were a pack-a-day smoker like i was. i do prefer my prodigy v2 though. the glv is kinda bulky even though it's not that much bigger than the v2. but the v2 just happens to be the perfect size for me. hope that helps.
