i'm planning on ordering a glv2 supermini at the end of this month as a birthday present for myself. Started vaping about a month ago and haven't had a single analog since. I got a kr808d-1 from my girlfriend and never looked back. I expect to wait a month or so as I know great lakes vapor is still a smaller company. Any advice on atty/cart choice? I like the idea of big map tanks but hear they're more trouble than convienience. :vapor:

If you're looking at adding a tank, perhaps you should consider the GLV3.

Aside from that though, I can't help you much. Eventually, I'm hoping fir a GLV3 mini with an Lr atty.

Right now, that's my setup and it's working wonders for me. Not to sound close minded, but I don't want to jump to 5v. I'm very happy with my setup. I'm scared that it'll be luv at first vape at 5v.

Great first post. Welcome to ECF and you picked and excellent birthday gift for yourself. The GLV-3 may be a little pricier than you're willing to go but if you can afford it, give it some thought.

Any LR atty should work well for you; it's just a matter of what you like, what you're willing to pay, and which vendor(s) you prefer.

And your fears are valid 4mehealth... A 5v GLV will take vaping to a whole 'nother level. LR atties/cartos on 3.7v Minis and Super Minis provide similar performance so if that's working for you, you're already closer to a 5v experience than you'll get with any other mod.

Hope this helps.

I like a warm hit, but not too warm. I've tried lr attys on an ego and loved them, same with regular 510. the glv3 looks appealing but what drew me to the glv2 series was it's size. If I liked the supermini, I was eventually going to move up to the 5v, and then go mod crayzay from there.

any idea if jaybird will throw some of that rainbow metal flake in white powder? :) he seems pretty open to new powder ideas.

You are the first "newb" I see that makes an outstanding choice with your second PV. No matter if you get the "I have so much money" $180 GLV3 or the GLV2 or the GLV 5v or GLV 3.7v or GLV supermini I have yet to hear one single bad word about these bad boys they seem to be one of the top PV's out there and you made a great choice.

For cartos I personally prefer LR boge cartos but many people praise on smoketech dual coil cartos.

Attys is another thing some like LR 510s I prefer LR 306. I would just buy 5 cartos 2 boge 3 dual coil they are cheap so you can see what you like and for attys the same get 1 306 and one 510 and give them all a go.

No matter what atty or cartos you get you made a fantastic choice with the GLV A+

My GLV-2 is a 5v with resistor so it won't take an LR well without burning it out. I have 2 GLV-2's and plan on getting the juice feed to add to one of them when he starts to sell them separately in the near future. You can't go wrong with Jay. He is number one with customer service, takes phone calls and answers questions. If something goes wrong he guarantees his product for life, just send it back in (with postage) and he returns it like new.

I have a vested interest in this thread, as I just put my GLV2 5v up for sale in the classys.

But, something to note w/ the 5v GLV...it's not really 5v. It adjusts to whatever atomizer you put on it, to give you an approximate 5v experience. You can use any atomizer you like. The higher the resistance, the more power you get out of the GLV via the resistor.

Using an LR atty, you usually get around 4v out of it, giving you a really great LR vape! The 3.7v/6v GLV's don't work in the same way. The versatility gives you pretty much a limited variable voltage range, and it well worth it to some people.

So LR atomizers are safe on 5v GLV? good to know... I read that the 5v was more versatile than the 6v but didn't know why.

Gratz on being analog free:) Good for you. LOVE my 5v GLV2s. If I could keep just one mod, it would be the GLV2. Consistent, fabulous vape and the craftsmanship is outstanding. No fiddling is good for me. The only bad - I get a lot of questions about it in public. I don't get that as much with the screwdriver mods as the pretty GLV2s. Ordered a SuperMini on May 30. It hasn't arrived yet. Excited to get a small, discreet 3.7v model and try a LR 306 atty and the dual-coil cartos on it :) Sara and Jay are wonderful. If you give them a call they can give you an aprox date. An early Happy Birthday to you!
