I found this vegetable glycerin based on non-GMO, organic, palm kernel oil. It says:

neves
global resources, llc
on the bottle (I hope I didnt violate rules)

The wizard place we know provides palm fruit based because of it not being associated with the Jatropha plant. This place seemed to think it was good because of taste, odor, and not being soy-based or associated with fuel. It says it's 99.7% USP. $26.50/gallon. I didn't read the rules well, so that's why I'm not giving a link and stuff. I'm too lazy to go read them right now. But what do you think? $26.50/gallon (not counting s/h.. and that should be pricey). I'm adding the price to see if you think it is suspect. They said it is low on the site. It is usually a few times more or something.

I've read of others using this and prefer it over veg gly. Some feel the extra cost factor isn't worth it but you just need to order it and judge for yourself. I myself never tried it so I can't be of much help. If your question is "Is it safe" I've not read anything negative about it so I would assume it is.

I don't know the brand youre reffering too, but myself I have tried 4 different vendors glycerin and cannot taste a difference. As long as it's usp or ph.eur grade(and not jathropa contaminated), then its most probably fine. Pharma grade glycerin is min. 99% pure according to the usp glycerin monograph and min. 98% accoring to ph.eur(monograph 0496), and the rest is simply just almost nothing but water, additionally i've never seen a usp or ph.eur glycerin under 99.5% min.

No matter if it's palm fruit, palm kernel, chocos or soy derived, then it's the same chemical with similar properties i.e. taste smell and consistency etc. (some are alittle thinner than others, which I guess is because they have absorbed alittle more water from the atmosphere, beeing that glycerin is highly hygroscopic, or there where a change in the temperature between using the different products)

One of the brands of glycerin i've used, seemed to be alittle sweeter in my oppenion, but i'm pretty sure that it actually wasen't really, since i've noticed differences in the same tank of glycerin during vaping i.e. sometimes it was sweeter than othertimes...

Granted I have not tried all brands of glycerin, so cannot really say if there isn't differences between brands, but I just expect that if it is fabricated correctly and is as clean as it should be, then there really shouldn't be all that much difference between them I think. Think about e.g. pure alcohol. You can make it from different things, but it's the same chemical across the board with same taste and smell(when pure of course, not talking about whiskey and wodka etc.)
