I purchased a kGo 1100 mAH, should be here tomorrow!! Anyho, I am loaded with questions about carto's and atty's and the such. I have been using a 320 mAH, 510 batt with fluxomizers. I love the fluxomizers, fill a few in the morning and I'm good for the day and none of the fluff stuff to mess with.

However, I have heard fluxo's hinder flavor and TH (an issue I have been experiencing). BTW, I like liquids @ 24mg, 80pg/20vg or 100pg.

Therefore, I am going to give cartos a try. I will be receiving a few dual coil, 1.5 ohm cartos from smok tech with my kGo. I want to drip solely for the purpose of testing new flavor liquids.

Here are some of my specific questions:
  • What attys are best/cheapest for dripping?
  • Can you use the same atty to drip different flavors, or does the atty get the one flavor that won't go away?
  • Can you put a drip tip on a carto, instead of using the circle plug on the end of most?
  • What is the best way to fill a carto, I'm thinking syringe will be least messy for me?
  • What do you think are the best cartos?
  • Is there are tank, or fluxo type out there that works well with kGo?
Tell me what you think ... what do you like best, who is your favorite vendor for those supplies, etc. Share with me all things -Go model related, tips/tricks, what not to do.

Here is the reward ... whoever give me the advice, that works for me best will get a surprise, surprised filled PM from me by the end of January!! I say end of January because it gives me time to try suggestions, and see what works for me best. Who knows, maybe I'll send out multiple surprise, surprised filled PM's. **This is not a contest, just a vaping gal, that wants help, and is willing to treat those who help

Well, I'm faily new to vaping, but here is what I've learned so far:

•What attys are best/cheapest for dripping?

I've used 510 Joye atty's for dripping. Fairly inexpensive, and easy.

•Can you use the same atty to drip different flavors, or does the atty get the one flavor that won't go away?

Using one atty, no problem. Worst case i've rinsed with plain PG, but rairly need to.

•Can you put a drip tip on a carto, instead of using the circle plug on the end of most?

Yep! Do it all the time. Much better with a tip!

•What is the best way to fill a carto, I'm thinking syringe will be least messy for me?

Use the condom method. Very little mess (If at all) and top up with a drip or 2 from the top if needed.

•What do you think are the best cartos?

I like the Boge LR ones. A lot of others here like them as well. Have some Kanger ones on the way as well, will post an update when I try them.

•Is there are tank, or fluxo type out there that works well with kGo?

No answer today, but I have a couple on te way and can give some feedback later.

I've ordered solely in Canada so far, but have a large order coming from HC hopefully soon. They got me on the price.

Hope this helps a bit. :vapor:

Please do let me know what you think about Kanger Cartos, and the tanks you are waiting on. I have been reading lately people are not happy with Boge carto's, something about a bad run of shipments? Not entirely sure on that.

I will try the condom method, however, I don't see how using that method fills the carto completely. Then again I've never used a carto or filled it.

Thanks for answering!!!

You might have a bit of trouble getting 100% VG to wick in a carto. You might not. Depends.
You might have to put a couple drops of water or vodka in the liquid.

Atty for dripping, SOME flavors do "stick"
I have one that had blackberry brandy in it that I've cleaned with vodka (overnight in an ultrasonic cleaner); baking soda and vinegar; and diet coke that still tastes like BBB.

Berry of any type is bad at sticking.
Butterscotch sticks.

Might wanna consider an extra atty for "just in case"

Hope that helps

•What attys are best/cheapest for dripping?
----I am not very picky on brand names, but I got some 306 LR attys from The Vapor Room, and then debridged them. I've been vaping two months, and it was my first time debridging an atty...it made a huge difference in both ease of use and taste, so I'd highly recommend pulling up a youtube video to try it. I'm not that proficient with tools, but the video made it easy and I love the results! I guess what I'm trying to say is ... its not so much the brand as the treatment of the atty you get.

•Can you use the same atty to drip different flavors, or does the atty get the one flavor that won't go away?
---- I like to switch flavors, a LOT, so I drip. 3 drops at a time max, usually, before I'm on to the next flavor. What I do is finish off the juice in the atty (until it doesn't taste like the flavor anymore), and drip in the next flavor. Unless you're using a heavy mint or a heavy cinnamon, most flavors will not leave an aftertaste if you do this. Also, I wash my attys weekly in hot hot water, blow them out thoroughly, and give them just a bit of a dry burn before I continue using as normal. So far I've had the same two attys for a month with no change in performance.

•Can you put a drip tip on a carto, instead of using the circle plug on the end of most?
--Absolutely! most of the "standard" 510 drip tips will work with most of the standard 510 attys. I know a lot of people here swear by ming this and cherry that...but the clear ones that cost $2 or less work great! From one newbie to another, I wouldn't buy those $8 to $10 ones unless there is just some fabulous factor out there about them I don't know about (other than Ooooh Pretty!!)

•What is the best way to fill a carto, I'm thinking syringe will be least messy for me?
----I like using a syringe, the condom fill method is messy and wasteful! If your carto has filler in it and you want a thorough fill, I've found that a sharp pointed syringe needle can be eased down the side, and you can slowly fill the bottom up that way, a few drops in, pull it back a bit, few drops more, etc. once per each side (twice total) then some drops at the top speeds the process along without wasting fluid!

•What do you think are the best cartos?
----DEFINITELY stay away from the cheapy, no-name boxes of cartos. The performance is awful. Boge is wonderful, CE2's were okay (when they work right), personally I don't like CE3's (no flavor). I loved the dual coil cartos :) But really, once I started dripping I ditched all my cartos except two dual coils for when I'm driving. Don't drip and drive, people!!! LOL

•Is there are tank, or fluxo type out there that works well with kGo? (Sorry, no imput on this one besides the above :D)

Best of luck to you!! I know there are hundreds more questions out there, and would love to help, "prize" or not :D If I can't answer, there's some really great people I could point you towards!

I'm using an eGo-t so same difference :) I'm loving mine.

Filling a 510 carto PBusardo
CCV's Resurrector PBusardo

I'm using the drip, condom, and syringe methods to fill my cartos. Whatever suits my mood at the time. The syringe is good for when my hand is aching (pinky and ring finger have nerve damage that acts up).

The CCV cartos in the 15 packs are a great bang for the buck, come with a syringe and drip tip..... plus the buggers last a nice long time without needing to drip or refill them.

Waiting for the carto to soak stuff in, yeah, just to see if it's filled enough. Waiting 30 mins after it fills up, nope. I do wait a minute or two but not that long and so far no problems but I am still only a few months into vaping.

Here are some of my specific questions:
What attys are best/cheapest for dripping?
Can you use the same atty to drip different flavors, or does the atty get the one flavor that won't go away?
Can you put a drip tip on a carto, instead of using the circle plug on the end of most?

Oh yeah you can best way to go (at least for me it is). Plus while you still have some juice in the carto can do the "soda fountain"... Say you have coffee flavor in the carto and you think it might be time for a drip or two to moisten it up. Add some cinnamon juice. Like mixing a coke and mountain dew when you're at a soda fountain. :)

What is the best way to fill a carto, I'm thinking syringe will be least messy for me?

See above about using 3 methods. For me I think the most messy option is the condom one. The syringe and drip both are about as equally messy but less messy than the condom method.... condom method you have to clean out the condom and more potential for a spill. Plus is the cats get a hold of the condom they light play with it and get sick (or die) from nicotine poisoning.

The drip and syringe methods are just about the same. I know if I use the drip method I need to put on my reading glasses to see well enough. The syringe method is good even though you have the extra step of filling it and rising it out.

What do you think are the best cartos?

Once again a preface that I am also a newbe of a few months. I like those CCV, holds lot of a juice, you get a syringe and drip tip with your order, price is very good compared to a single or 5 pack carto.

Also depends on what you are looking for and your vaping style.
Is there are tank, or fluxo type out there that works well with kGo?

Not sure the exact differences between the eGo and eGo-t. Generally the little plastic tanks that come with the eGo-ts do leak. Acorn tanks like these I only have second hand knowledge of so I am sure you'll get a better answer from someone who uses them.

Hope that helps. Or at least can help narrow some choices down for you.

I may be in the minority, but I don't like the condom method. No mess? The bottom of the carto is covered with juice. The side of the carto is covered with juice. To me, that constitutes a mess, LOL. I like the drip method if I have a bottle that's easy to squeeze drops out of (some are easier than others), especially with a big enough carto (all my toys are KR808, so I don't know how 510s work, but the Elite 808 cartos are much wider than the standard ones and are great for dripping juice into from the bottle). I frequently use a syringe to fill cartos. A little more work, since I have to rinse the darn thing out when I'm done, but the actual filling process is easier.

Sorry, I can't really help you with the 510 carto question. I came to the Ego subforum looking at Go-Go threads. But I'd love a surprise PM from you, Q! :D
