GOD'S "PHONE" NUMBER

Hello God, I called tonight
To talk a little while
I need a friend who'll listen
To my anxieties and trials.

You see, I can't quite make it
Through a day just on my own...
I need your love to guide me,
So I'll never feel alone.

I want to ask you please to keep,
My family safe and sound.
Come and fill their lives with confidence
For whatever fate they're bound.

Give me faith, dear God, to face
Each hour throughout the day,
And not to worry over things
I can't change in any way.

I thank you God, for being home
And listening to my call,
For giving me such good advice
When I stumble and I fall..

Your number, God, is the only one
That answers every time.
I never get a busy signal,
Never had to pay a dime.

So thank you, God, for listening
To my troubles and my sorrow.
Good night, God, I love  You, too,
And I'll call again tomorrow!

P.S. Please bless all my friends and family too. :p

Afterthought: Isn't it wonderful to know we serve a God that's never too busy for us?

That is not a reverent prayer to a distant God way up in Heaven. That is not the way one would talk to a wrathful God that has to be appeased and always expects us to be on our best behavior. There is no formality or ritual, or "all the right words"

It sounds more like a conversation one would have with their daddy, or big brother, or best friend, or husband. We have such a wonderful God. We have a God with whom we can have a comfortable, intimate, personal relationship.

That is a great prayer. Thank you for posting.

Perfectly said, Angel, for a wonderful prayer. The depth of both of these posts are profound.

I talk to God, and it still astounds me after almost 26 years, that the Creator of all takes time out of HIS very busy schedule, to talk to and listen to me. It's difficult to wrap your head around. He thinks we're important and high on His priority list. Wow.
