Going back to 50/50 or 70/30 VG/PG juices thanks to REO

Hi All. :)

Since becoming a Reonaut about three weeks ago (and now three Reos Mods deep) I've discovered that the RM2, thus far my favorite flavor machine, is much more productive with e-liquids that are at most 70/30 VG/PG, but is even better with thinner formulas. This has given me an "excuse" to begin procuring my favorite brands (ITCVapes, for one) in formulas other than MAX VG (for when I used to primarily drip).

This has also allowed me to reacquaint myself with brands like Nicoticket and Blends by Bryce that, as far as I know, only produce 50/50 liquids that I did not seek out for dripping. This includes a few other tobacco flavors that, despite my thinking I'd abandoned tobaccos forever, taste magnificent through the REO and RM2.

I've decided that my tendency to horde (aka "collect") mods (of course, the mod of choice being the REO) will allow me to keep one REO designated for tobacco, one for clouding (RM4) and the third for sweets, dessert flavors, and custards. If and when I am able to score a Woodvil (or two) they will likely be used for variations upon those themes (alternate tobacco, alternate dessert or maybe even a coffee).

I'm quite pleased to have gotten over the desire to create the biggest clouds I can. I went through that phase and tried to buy every regulated mod and tank I could...but I did get burned out. The REO came to my attention in the "nic" of time :) Now I'm enjoying more kinds of flavors, and importantly, more flavorful flavors, and while I might still not technically be a "tootle puffer," I don't mind leaning closer to that type of vaper since I'm enjoying my liquids so much more than before.

Just some musings for a Saturday!

Be well and vape on, folks!

I love ITCVapes, they've got some amazing juice for the price. I was probably in the minority when I dripped, I tried max vg once and I didn't care for it. It just didn't give me that satisfying throat hit that I got from 50/50 blends. Although now I primarily use 60/40 and 70/30.

My original plan (like yours) was to have a Reo dedicated to each type of flavor profile that I liked, but that went out the window since I recently started DIY lol. Hopefully when I get more recipes built up I can do that.

I've got most of my DIY stuff waiting for that day that we hope won't come. I've mixed up some tasty stuff but likely I will keep on buying premixed until I can't anymore. Again, hoping that day won't come.

I love ITC. Nilla Gorilla, particularly :)

Right now I'm having a hard time putting the tobacco flavor down. It's a tobacco with a hint of peanut butter (don't puke! Never thought I'd see the day when *that* would be my ADV!!) Really I'm just trying to justify having a bunch of REOs, lol.

Yeah...the way things are shaping up, I think learning to diy (at least a little bit) will be a useful thing to know. I'll probably still buy pre-mixed occasionally (specifically dirty dutchman), like during sales, since some juices can be difficult to replicate.

And that tobacco vape doesn't sound bad at all! Sometimes I like to step out of my comfort zone with juices and try something new, you never know :)

It is amazing what the reo can do for your vaping. I have only used the rm2 but it is just awesome imo and I can't imagine it getting any better. I have made my own juice for a long time and I could not believe how much better the same juices I was use to were tasting when I switched to the reo. Hard to believe that it can make that much of a difference, but it does. So glad you are lovin' the reo and glad you are going back to juices that made your taste buds dance.

Hate to be a naysayer guys but you all know the REO has nothing to do with flavor, right o_O

That's the attys job. It doesn't mean we love the REO any less ;)

True Dat. The Reo is just a battery holder and juice delivery system, it is stellar at it's job, that's why I own 11 of them.

EDIT to add: the vape and flavor is all about the balance of: coil design, coil placement, heat, airflow(amount and path) and wick. RBA design greatly affects airflow and what you can do with the coil.

I'm sure i remember Rob saying that the Reo was designed to handle high VG juices and it does. Those are what i use all the time, probably a 90/10 vg/pg mix and even on scorching hot days here they never autofeed.

For the sake of DIY juice, it's hard to recommend anything other than a 50/50 because it's the best of both worlds and the maths is easy!

Mine was absolutely able to handle high VG...it was just harder for me to squonk it. 50/50 is much, much easier for me to use. :)

I'm also pretty decent at building highly functional coils :vapor: so I will give myself some credit due for flavor :) But I've never been able to access such
"flavorful flavors" as frequently and consistently without having to open a bottle and drip...so that I will 100% give to the Reo that holds the atty that holds the coil that holds the wick the Reo squonks the juice to :)
