Adding vg to 50/50 to get 70/30 vg

I'm stumped (not doing too many ratios in real life) in mixing vg to my 50/50 liquids.

For example if I take a 30ml bottle of 50/50 mix and divide 30 by 2, ending at 15ml each would I divide the 15 by 100 them multiple times 20 or divide the 30 by 50 then multiply by 20 to get 70%vg. Any help is appreciated.

30 mL of 50/50 is 15 ml each of PG/VG, and you want to add enough VG to make it 70% VG, 30% PG. Ignoring minor constituents, and assuming the PG amount remains unchanged, you want to make a mixture that is 3 parts PG to 7 parts VG. So for 5 ml of VG (one third of the total), calculate 7*5=35 ml VG total in your final mixture. Subtract from that the 15 ml of VG that is already there, and you get 20 ml you need to add. Now you have a bottle with 15 ml PG+35 ml VG = 50 ml of mixture. You can check the percentages in this example by multiplying everything by two; 30+70=100.

So for any such desired mix (70%VG/30%PG), take your total starting mixture and determine how many ml each of PG and VG are already in it (multiply the starting percentage of each, expressed as a decimal [100%=1.00] by the total volume of the starting mix) Divide the starting ml of PG by three, and multiply that number by 7 (gives you your final amount of VG), then subtract the ml of VG that are already there, and that will tell you how much VG to add (in ml). Add the total of the PG and VG amounts to determine what size bottle you need.

So if I understand correctly 6ML added VG will give me a 70/30 ratio in 30ml already mixed to 50/50 correct?

Nope, again: "...and you get 20 ml you need to add. Now you have a bottle with 15 ml PG+35 ml VG = 50 ml of mixture." Sorry if my wording was confusing.

This part fully describes the method used for the calculation:

Divide the starting ml of PG by three, and multiply that number by 7 (gives you your final amount of VG), then subtract the ml of VG that are already there, and that will tell you how much VG to add (in ml)."

So 30 ml starting mix times 50% PG = 15 ml PG, and 50% times 30 ml = 15 ml of VG. One third of the PG is 5 ml. Seven times that is 35 ml, which is how much VG you need in the final mix. But the starting mix already has 15 ml of VG, so add 20 ml to bring it up to 35 ml.

Here is the plain math:
0.50 * 30 = 15 PG, 0.50*30 = 15 VG.
15/3 = 5,
5*7=35.
35-15 = 20
