should 50/50 pg/vg liquid have more throat hit than 70/30 pg/vg liquid?

i ran out of liquid so after i bought a couple bottles online i went to the nearest e-cig store and bought a bottle since i needed liquid right then and there. i got to the store to find out they didn't sell 70/30 pg/vg liquid, so i had to get 50/50 with 18mg nic. i filled my tank, let it sit awhile, took a few hits and holy crap was there a lot of throat hit and it was harsh to. why would 50/50 liquid with 18mg nic have more throat hit than 70/30 pg/vg liquid with 18mg nic

Maybe because it was fresh. A lot of juices taste harsh until they've had a chance to steep for awhile.

i buy liquid from ecblend which always makes their liquid the day you order or the day they ship it. the flavor i got from this place was capone, it's supposed to be hazelnut tobacco, it didn't taste or smell like hazelnut tobacco at all, it tasted and smelled like blueberry waffles!(which is really good tbh)
