I've been Sub-Ohm'ing for awhile now going through an Aspire Atlantis, Subtank Nano, and now the Smok TFV4 Mini.

At first, I was blown away by this whole trend, but I soon realized that no mattee which Sub-Ohm tank it is, they spit like crazy, which I hate, and truly, the coils last merely a week if you're lucky... and flavor is always here or there.

Plus, worrying about batteries, and being stuck in a place where 3mg is a little too harsh and 1.5mg isn't quite enough, coupled with how I dislike pretty much any flavors except Custard and Tobacco... I've decided to go back to a simple vape.

The problem is I'm not big on the Kanger Dual Coils that make up the tootle puffer tanks. Despite that, I did order a Johnson Creek Pro Tank for my old Vea which used those coils as they said if I didn't like it I could return it. So I'm crossing my fingers it'll help me find a vape that gets me off the cigs for good.

I also ordered a sample of their Domestic and Silverthorn, it's been a long time since I've had their juices but if I remember right their Tobacco's are rather unique and are some of the few that actually pair well with a scotch or stout.

Plus I need a stealth vape for work, and an easy carry for the bar scene. I'd still enjoy Sub-Ohm'ing if the tanks just didn't spit so god dang much. But it's not keeping me off the cigs, I actually picked up a temporary Vuze awhile back and it's doing a better job than the Sub-Ohm tanks.

I hope regressing will really help me cut back!

Have you looked at the eLeaf GS Air Series of tanks?
  • Eleaf GS Air
  • Eleaf GS AIr M
  • Eleaf GS AIr MS
  • GS Tank
The GS Air M is the largest-capacity Air. The new kid on the block, the GS Tank, is only 3 ml but 22 mm in diameter.

Tanks & coils are inexpensive (~$10). Two different Kanthal coils: 1.5Ω (8-20 watts) & 1.2Ω (8-30 watts). Both are dual coils.

They are such a popular tootle puffer tank that the Moderators had to start a second thread when the 1st thread reached +15,000 post. eLeaf GS Air Fan Thread

Sweet-Vapes carries them.

There's also the kabuki tank that uses Nautilus coils. Nice flavor or if you feel that's too expensive then the good old faithful Nautilus Mini, I still love mine.

I went through this myself, got sick of them but now I'm back and enjoying them again. I use both, depending on mood.

The Apex is nice too with a good range of coils and as Susan said, you can't go wrong with the GS range.

I'm really enjoying the Herakles Plus, no spit back, nice smooth vape and a fantastic taste.

Vape em if you've got em...

Time vaping is obviously not equal to time Learning about Vaping.

Sub-ohm can be as high as .9ohm and a Great Vape IF SET UP PROPERLY.

Kayfun style tanks work excellent in the 1.2-1.8ohm range, but then there are those that complain about Air Flow, etc., etc.

Why not State the Simple. You cannot get comfortable with what you have and want to try something different.

By the way, My TFV4 Never spits and the Flavor rocks.
My Origin Tanks are generally built around .5ohm and preform FANTASTIC.
This from a little old man of 62 yrs.:D

My wife's Ego-Mega Pops and Spits.
Her Kanger 1.5ohm Subtank Nano isn't even close in performance to anything I use.

However, we are both happy with what we choose to use and do not blame the equipment.;)

Or as @tj99959 would say:

"The biggest and most common mistake is buying product after product searching for that perfect vape instead of learning how to get that perfect vape from the products you already have.";)

I have the tfv as well as the subtank mini an my chick uses the subtank nano.we do not have spiting pproblems at all...you probably just need to look into your gear,if you are having problems with it something is wrong....bad seals, bad coils, coil not tight enough... What watts are you vaping at,could need to turn up or turn down..... I would learn the gear you have before buying new gear

Try a Kanger Subtank mini. good little versatile tank. With the V2 you can MTL or blow minor clouds.
I use the RBA with a 1.2 coil and vape at 14 watts. Nice vape.

I tend to agree with Robert, but I greatly prefer the Nautilus Mini over the Subtank Nano for >ohm vaping.

I have a few of each and the Nautilus mini is just an all around solid tank. The full size Nautilus is even better (much better airflow options), but a lot bigger.

I was hitting my Snow Wolf and RX200 at 70-100w last night but today I am vaping my Provari Signature with Nautilus Mini @12w and loving it.

BTW, I subohm at 3mg and my 1.2-1.8ohm vaping is generally at 6mg nic.

All I've got to say is:

After a horrible snow delay, I got my Vea ProTank to pair with my handsome Vea battery, and filled with Red Oak Domestic to complete the picture and...

I'm in love!

I've cut the cigs nearly all day. Red Oak Domestic takes getting used to. At first it's meaty and mesquite. Then it turns quite like a cigarette as the coil gets more used, and right now, it's actually delicious.

What's more is the cigar drip-tip on this thing is heaven, I love it, and while the vapor would make tootle-puffers feel proud, it has that soft, scratchy throat hit that only tootle vapes can do.

And really, it's just as cheap. A 5ml of Johnson Creek is $4. A 5ml would last this Protank more than a week, it's crazy how little of juice this thing uses while being satisfying.

And $14 for the tank and 3 coils! That's a great deal! I'd feel good giving any new vaper this setup, and Johnson Creek have really gone down in their prices on the kits! The folks there are amazing too.

Overall I'm very, very happy spending a few dollars on this set-up!

I used the Kanger T2 tank long after technology passed it by. Found the Nautilus to be a better unit, good all round experience. Since I wanted to go into semi rebuild I tried the Kanger subtank mini. I use the version2 (V2) rba head and have trouble deciding what I like better, the Nautilus or the subtank mini. With the Eleaf 40 watt I have a simple set-up that simply works

I figure with a spool of wire and a pack of cotton, the subtank will last for years. I just worry about breaking the glass. I might have to looking into finding a few replacements for piece of mind.

Check out the Innokin Endura T18 and the T22.

They are pretty good for the size... so much so, that I am considering buying one for myself as a stealthy setup. I got one for my dad this past XMas and I tried it with him to make sure it was all primed, and I was VERY impressed.

Yes these are nice I bought the t18 and love it. I don't think you would be disappointed with either one.

I'd also like to give props to Johnson Creek as well. I love their juice as I still like tobacco flavored and theirs is quite superb and interesting. My favorite is Killin House Gold Reserve. It is my adv and cures most cravings for an analog. Customer service is exceptional always willing to go that extra mile in helping.

I'm enjoying my Nautilus Mini at around 11 watts for now on my iStick 20w. My iJust 2 kit should arrive in the post today for my first subohm venture.

As a stealth vape I'd maybe consider the istick 20w if you have big hands as it fits quite comfortably. For me anyways.

I bought an Ijust2 kit at a vape store and am happy with it--lots of power--you won't need an 8 second draw on this device to get some satisfaction.....

Interesting to hear from you when you get the ijust2..........
