Going from a Halo Triton to a iTaste VV with Kanger Glassomizers?

I like my Halo Triton and all, but due to it only taking the plastic tanks Halo makes, many juices are off the table for me. I'm also not a massive fan of the top coil/wicked system, makes cleaning the tanks a pain. Was gonna step up to the iTaste VV with some Kanger Protanks (glassomizers). This a fairly logical step up after vaping for a week or two?

Just watched PBusardo's review on the iTaste VV v3, and he didn't seem too excited about it. The MVP seems great as well, but I'm not too keen on something box style quite yet. I'd like something that's variable voltage with 510/eGo threading, and aside from that I'm not really too specific. Anyone have any recommendations?

The VV is a great unit - essentially, the little brother of the MVP (same functionality, smaller battery and resultant form factor). Many, many people swear by them. The protank family is very popular as well. It's chief competitor as a BCC is probably the aspire.

This would be a fine upgrade from your current gear and you're liable to use it in some capacity for a long time.

Comparable functionality to the VV would come from any number of tube style devices, which would use a separate battery inserted into the tube (think "flashlight"). The SVD mentioned above is a very good example. Other popular models would be the Zmax and the Vamo. They are larger than the VV.

As far a performance goes, you wouldn't go wrong with any of these devices. After that, it's down to things like size, weight, button controls (the Zmax uses 1 button, the others use 3, and each of the latter use slightly different methods), and the not-to-be-trivialized aesthetic taste. The SVD looks like a steampunk lightsaber, the Zmax is a sleek tube, the Vamo is in between the two.

Again, what you've suggested for yourself would be great - a fine, fine setup. If you move on after that (chances are high that you will - do not worry about that for now), you'd still have it as a backup in case whatever future rig you use is unavailable for whatever reason (it happens... oh lord, it happens).

And, if I am to do this, what would be a good drip setup to use so that I can test juices without the constant need to refill tanks.

THIS: Vision Eternity for $19.95
I have it it's beautiful and it's the perfect dripping/testing system ... I tried several drippers and this one is clean and very nice and you can drip right into the "drip tip" it actually does what it's name is ... check PBusardo's review: A PBusardo Review - Vision Eternity RBA

ooops:oops: then again, after a week or 2 this might not be the way to go, unless you like tinkering and have an ohm meter :D

this does sound like a very nice set up, and I love most things Kanger (waiting on my Aero), but definitely yes....the MVP2 as mentioned is also a very good option and maybe more cost effective since the little iTaste VV are still fairly expensive for what they are ... the MVP2 battery will also last several days before recharge is required (unless you vape non-stop)

so much for my :2c:

Just watched a review on the iTaste MVP2, it actually looks pretty great. I've heard the button is a tad hard to press, but that's no real issue. My one question is:

Can I find a glass clearomizer with no wicks and a bottom coil that will fit this without an adapter and look good? That's basically my only concern.

yes, the MVP2 has 510 and ego threading, 510 is the connection where the threading is a 'visible' treaded extension at the bottom of the tank (or delivery device), Ego threading is on the inside at the bottom (not outwardly visible), the MVP2 has a beauty (and stabilizing) ring for the 510 connected devices, most if not all those so discribed tanks/clearos/glassos/and so forth will fit it (including Kanger Protanks mini or regular or dual coil)

Sweet! Sounds good man, thanks for the quick response. Looks like I'll be ordering that setup when I get paid this coming Friday. Now I can use any juice I want o_O the choices! Don't get me wrong, I've been sucking on this Halo Tribeca like my life depended on it, but something fruity and menthol would be lovely.

For the overall price of the package, you can't beat the MVP2. I do have the VV V3 as well and use them as the out-n-about. I use my MVP for work and home when I want the extended battery life.

Both devices charge with a standard micro USB cable and can be used while charging. No compatibility issues with PT's or EVODs that I have experienced.
