Hey Silver, nice to see another SA guy here. I am from KZN. Been Twisping for 6 weeks now. Smoked for 30 years. Haven't touch a cigarette since the first vape! Awesome stuff. I see you talk about some other makes available in SA? The Twisp is ok, but I need a bit more vapor and flavor I think. I see people talking about making their own liquid, and 100's of different e-cigs available. O yeah, by the way, I find the apple flavor to be awesome.

Hi Andremal

Thanks for noticing me and for replying. I also started out on Twisp and that is what got me off real cigs, so no matter where my path in vaping takes me I will always have a "soft" spot for my Twisp devices.

Oh yes, there are plenty of other makes available in SA. Other than Twisp, I have tried the Protank 2 (Maxi and Mini). There are a number of resellers that specialise in vaping products that carry a fairly wide range, but some folk need to order more specialised equipment from international suppliers since the local companies don't carry all the kit.

I also felt that the Twisp needed more throat hit or something. I do like it a lot and really like their juices but I sometimes can drag like 10 times in a row to get more. For international folk reading this, Twisp is the locally branded Janty Clearo device. Its a top coil Clearo 1.6ml tank. I think its a great device to get started on and learn about vaping. It is however quite pricey. My Protanks do give me better throat hit and vapour than the Twisp. Flavour wise I'd say about the same. But I'm nearly ready to take the next step.

As for making your own juices, I haven't tried that yet. Just busy going through the locally available ones here in SA. I have tried about 5 or 6 brands. The Twisp brand compares very highly to what I've tried already.

All the best
