Going to purchase a Reo

I'm getting ready to purchase my first Reo... a grand with a reomizer. I'm not new to bottom feeders per se. I had another "popular" bottom feeder, but I had issues with leaking and was just underwhelmed by the experience to say the least. I'm not new to rebuildables either. I've been using them for over a year now with good results.

I was looking for some input before I placed my order. Any must have accessories, parts, etc. I should throw in with my order? I have plenty of coil building supplies, so I'm good there. Any and all help appreciated. Looking forward to becoming a Reonaut.

Good plan maybe just a spare spring or 2 just in case you have a short. Congrats pics when you get it or it didn't happen

I like the bigger button, an extra spring just to have in stock is a good ideal.

Agreed, start looking at colors for your next REO now and you could save on shipping just by ordering it at the same time!

Don't know if this is your first mod, so some things might be redundant:

1. Batteries
2. Charger
3. juice (yes, I've known people to order a mod without juice!)
4. medium to low nicotine juice; you will vape a lot
5. Depending on how many juices you use, an extra bottle or two won't hurt
6. 1/16th drill bit, if you are going to do micro coils
7. sterilized cotton balls for wicks
8. some form of magnification, preferably lighted (Super_X's suggestion)

1600's is 16a 24a.. I know they are safe chem batteries but that would be just scary, imo, to draw from a battery you are holding to your face.

I long ago lost count of how many posts I've seen from people that were disappointed in the vape or performance of their REO. Then, they *finally* broke down and got the AW IMRs, and it makes a world of difference. If you're gonna spend @$200.00 for a mod, don't you owe it to yourself to use it with the batteries it was intended to have? These mods last YEARS, what's so hard about $2 more for the batteries?

I often wonder how many people just decided the REO wasn't for them, all because they overlooked the power supply. Who wants a Jaguar XKE with a Ford Pinto engine? "But really, Mr/Mrs/Miss Jones, we're sorry about the performance of your new E type Jag, but see, we had a few of these Pinto engines laying around, and we figured, why waste them?"

Not to sound like a total idiot but what's the difference. I have mostly efest batteries but have a few miscellaneous batteries that I've picked up along the way and with the exception of size differences and mah ratings i don't know what's different about them.

I can't find where I read that, if I did.. 16a would definitely be way more than I need. 24a would be crazy, I can't imagine vaping almost 100w from a battery.

Another is safety. IMR batteries good

also in the safety category is Maximum Continuous Discharge Rating. How many Amps can a battery put out without going into meltdown or exploding.

Discharge rating / amperage also matters for battery performance.

Brand, like AW matters in reliability and quality.

That covered the gist of my question! Thank you sir. I had always been under the impression a 18650 was a 18650 minus the fact there were button top or flat top no real difference. But it would seem I am sorely mistaken.

The difference is that they are not safe to use. IMR batteries have safe chemistry that will not explode.

I use AW IMR 18490 in my Mini 2.1 and Panasonic 18650 CH and PD in my Grand, both Panas are also safe to use.

Some Efest batteries are IMR and are therefore safe.

Whether they are ideal or appropriate for a REO is another matter...
