You are going on vacation and to the beach...away from Daytona? LOL
We go to Daytona!
I would get a case of some sort, a dart case, a soft side cosmetic case..something and keep your gear in there. I would not take much with me on the beach because of the heat and sand. Unless you have a cooler with you for the liquid I would just take prefilled carts or a little tiny bottle of liquid. leave the rest in the hotel room.
Welcome to ECF.
I would think that the silver titanium ecig like the DSE 801 would stay a little cooler in the sun than an all black one? The flip side with a darker one may be that it will take less battery power to heat up the atomizer as the sun will do some of the work for you? I notice this when I leave my ecig in the hot car..
in our experience the heat wont hurt it , I leave my JS and 901LV mod in the car when I go inside a store. its rather warm but works fine, Once the cars running I stick my PV in the air outlet to cool. on the beach we carry a quart or gallon ziplock bag with electronics in it.
You guys are great. Thanks for all your help, Just wasn't sure if the heat would damage it.
MaryKay Just going over to St. Pete for a few days, change of sceenery.
Small cooler, some ice, couple o beers, tuperware container to seal your e-cig and juice, beach umbrella, some water wings, and don't forget that sunscreen!
I was the one who complained about the sand not mixing well with the ecig...I tried very hard to keep any and all sand off my hands and around it, but its next to impossible at the beach! If it gets into the threads of the atty or battery, you're going to have a mess on your hands...it is so annoying! Have fun!
The St. Pete beach and water are sooo different then the water and beach in Daytona..it's sand and water! LOL
You are right, I like the calmer beaches and whiter sand on the Gulf side. but the wild water and party side of the State is nice too. It really is a change of scene. The best thing is you can do both sides in one day! (if you hurry) Ask any hurricane.

In my experience, humidity is what I would worry more about than the heat itself. We spent a week or so in a very humid place (Maldives), and some of my batteries started misbehaving, even though I was careful to leave most of the stuff in the room with A/C on, while carrying only two assembled models (901 and NPRO) around in one of those water protected cigarette boxes. I bought the box last year in Sea World when I needed it to carry analogs around.
Looks like I'll leave my 801 in the room when I hit the sand. Ill probably be at the pool most of the time anyway. Try to keep it cool and dry. Thanks for your help
