Hello Everyone,

I am going to be traveling from California to Hawaii soon and am wondering about traveling with a E-Cig. I am planning on bringing my Ego, Riva (Ego knock off) and Silver Bullet. What is the law about the batteries and what should I be cautious about for them taking them away from me?

I have traveled before with an Ego in my Check-in Baggage no problem and as a carry on (I believed I vaped in the bathroom but that memory is hazy). Usually I just buy some Snus (chewing tobacco in a tea bag). This is the first time I will or want to bring my Silver Bullet but i am not sure about the Lithium Battery law.

Any help would be nice, the last thing I want is to loose 130+ bucks of ecig supplies.

Thank you!

Take a look at THIS for info on traveling with lithium batteries. Lithium batteries have to be in your carryon. I just recently flew with several Kgo batteries and cartos in a small case which are very similar in size and shape to the Ego and Riva ones. I had them in a side pocket of my backpack. I did pack my ejuice and extra supplies in my checked bag though. I also had a Switchback from Vaporbeast in the other side pocket of the backpack. That is similar in size to the Silver Bullet. I had zero issues with the TSAs over any of it.

Hi Keita, I just came back from Hawaii. Not sure which island you will be going to, but I can say we had absolutely no issues going through Honolulu security. We flew Hawaiian Airlines.

We put approximately 12 eGo-Ts in a zip lock bag. Our 4 tanks filled with juice went into a separate quart size zip lock. TSA did pick up the batteries to examine but she never questioned us. We also had about 30 15ml bottles and 8 30ml of juice plus 4 chargers which I packed in our luggage. All made it home safe and sound with no problems.

I had some great suggestions from members when I asked here.

Have fun!

Interesting!!! I'll remember that next time. I just go back from Vegas and I did put my mod batteries in my checked bag. I carried on a couple egos. I'm hesitant to carry on a mod that I care about. Too much chance that I'll run into an overzealous TSA agent. Next time I will carry on my mod batteries though.
