I have 2 gold button batteries and 3 black button batteries. The gold button batteries I have that are less than a month old both have button/switch issues and do not work. I wrote a trouble ticket to V4L yesterday about one of them which they are taking care of and today the other one had the same issue this morning which I wrote a another trouble ticket for today and am sure V4L will take care of that one also. I don't know if those 2 gold button batteries came from the same bad batch or what but I hate both of them and am happy I was sent the black button batteries first. Yes the gold did seem to have more vapor but that button/switch issue with the gold button batteries makes them useless. Am I the only one that has had this issue? All of my batteries are the XL...like I said I am one of the weird ones that loves the black button batteries because I have never had an issue of any kind with them.

LOL I'm the exact opposite: I hate the black button batts! All I use are XLs as well and I've had great luck with the gold buttons. However I got one black button batt and promptly RMAed it. The button was a pain; seems I had to press alot harder on it to activate. The most annoying of all was the timer after the cut off was hit! Combined with the fact that this batt didn't have as much "oomph" as I'm used to from the gold button batts it really killed any feeling of getting a decent hit.

Gold Button XL + WowCart + WOW Coffee 36mg = Vaping Bliss (for me anyways!)

I have two gold-button recent generation batteries that worked well for awhile, but now only
work sporatically. I received a new XL gold button yesterday, and I HOPE it keeps working
correctly. I think the "newer" generation XLS are a little longer than the older batteries.
Both of the one's I am trying to replace (they haven't been replaced yet) are a little longer
than the older ones. I received one black button battery, and the button always got stuck,
and then after less than a week, it stopped completely. But I have lots and lots of batteries,
and most of them work great.

I just received a battery in the mail in the last two days that does not work correctly at all. I thought the switch colors had made a difference, but this is a gold switch standard length battery. It cuts out after 1 second on the first draw, doesn't switch on at all, have to play with it to get it to turn on, etc, etc. I'm going to have to open a ticket on it to send it back.

I'm already having to send a two black button XLs back.

I don't think button color has anything to do with it; recent batches of batteries from a newer supplier have a much higher defect rate. I had two gold button XL manuals I have had to return in the last 6 weeks, never had a black button so can't speak to that.

Jam, were the problems with your XL batteries with the switch? They worked on and off (after awhile, mostly off)?

First bad one had a short cutoff, and worked intermittently at best - switch could have been part of the problem, but it also could have been faulty logic / circuit. Second battery was completely dead in all respects. Third, they actually tested it before sending per my request, and it is fine.

PS: I have a hard time believing their defect rate is less than 0.1% - I am very happy if it is less than 5%, but like Maxx said, 3 / 100000? Come On Man!!

One of my replacement batteries came today...another gold button...fingers crossed. Actually quite a few had the same problem as I did...we must have gotten the batteries from the same batch. One more replacement battery due to come in. I need to contact support again...they shipped this with an order and no instructions how to return the bad battery...in my support ticket I had the impression I was going to get a package to ship it in (which doesn't matter) but mentioned some kind of ticket or something that was supposed to be enclosed to ship with it...that wasn't there.
