Does anyone know if there is a site that is still selling the gold button xl manual batteries? I bought one gold button xl last year - and it is still going strong. The newer black button ones seem to die after a couple of months, no matter how careful I am with them. Also have had several that I ordered DOA or otherwise not working correctly (from litecigusa - not to dis the company, they have good customer service and always replace the bad ones).

OR

I am considering switching to a different ecig altogether. I want something SIMPLE like the KR808. Manual battery (xl), cartomizers (or similar) that I can refill easily, and I do really like the passthroughs. It seems like the KR8 parts are getting harder to find (cartos, batteries, pts). I also can't spend a lot of money on kits or replacement parts. I don't really understand all the mah and mods and tech stuff

Edit:

just looked at this: http://www.cigeasy.com/product_p/elite.htm Does that battery last as long as the xl KR808D-1??

Thanks!!

Ms. Jennikj V4L has gold button kr808 manuals, also new clear buttoned manuals that are a major upgrade of the gen 1 kr808 technology.

Depends on what you want. If it's form factor that's important, stick with a kr808 batt. If it's battery life, go with one of the new 808 egos from smoktech, if you want a non-fat batt but slightly bigger than the kr808 go with the elite kit you linked to. All depends on what you're looking for out of a pv. :)

Thanks! Mostly I want a battery that won't die after a couple of months. I am very careful with my batteries; I wipe the threads before I put on a carto, and I always make sure the carto threads are clean and the carto is not over-filled. The elite from cigeasy says I can use any cartos on it; I have a lot of blank KR8 premium cartos that I just bought, so I would want to be able to use them. I love those cartos; as long as I don't burn them dry they last quite awhile for me, which is important because I don't have a lot of money to spend on replacement parts. In searching the forums, I found about the same number of good vs. bad reviews for the elite, so I'm just trying to decide which way to go. The V4L batteries are $18.50 vs. litecigusa $12.95. Are they better batteries or just more expensive?

I appreciate any help at all! Thanks again!!

The problem with small batteries is that vaping requires more power than they can easily handle and that stresses them and shortens their lifespan.

Thank you Traver; what would you suggest that is easy to use and not too expensive? I do chain vape, but I don't mind recharging the batteries a couple times a day; I rarely go out for more than 5 or 6 hours at a time anyhow.

If you are looking to save money an E-Power may be you best bet. all the parts are replaceable and when the batteries eventually go bad that only cost about $7. It is a larger battery and that isn't what you were looking for.

E-Power Replacable Battery kit!

You can also buy an adapter for your 808s to use on the510 E-Power.

Otherwise for a small battery the kr808 xl is about the best one out there. I have 2 gold button ones though I never use them anymore. One started to lose it's charge after about three months the other is still going. I think I used them for about six moths.

Traver sir same can be said for a lot of the fat batts. There are 900mah egos, vgos, etc that are only rated for 2c. If you're pulling more than 1.8a, you're still stressing them. All depends on the cell.

Right I don't actually know the C rating on these batteries and would't use even a 2.0 ohm carto an anything less than 1,000 mAh. It is rare but vapors have wound up losing teeth and needing surgery from exploding batteies.
