Si I'm finally gonna give it a shot. Gonna pick up an inexpensive Kayfun Lite clone on Slowtec. I want to make it as easy as possible. I have no desire to try a multitude of different set-ups. I would just like to build basic 2.1Ω - 2.4Ω coils
Questions:
-What gauge kanthal wold be best.
-What mm wick to use. Or should I just use cotton yarn.
-What to use as a wrap guide or jig. As in what size drill bit or whatever.
-Do I squeeze the coils together so they all touch or leave them evenly separated. I have seen it done both ways.
-How many wraps with whatever gauge wire is suggested to get my desired Ω.
As I said I just want to keep it very simple. I wanna build a bunch of the same Ω coils set aside for when I need them. And only have to worry about rewicking them.
