I currently have a 19mm standard length IBTank full (well, like half full) of full strength Pluid. Stainless caps obviously. It's been working perfectly! That specific tank has been filled with Pluid its entire life, and will never have another juice touch its borosillicate wrapped goodness.
I am also using Boges right now. They are a bit more difficult to get running with Pluid in the beginning due to their tightly packed filler material. Smoktechs are loose enough that I never had any issues with Pluid, but with Boges I have to put a lot more effort into ensuring a proper and complete fill of the carto.
I've had a few that stopped accepting juice from the top and the bottom. I even flicked the crap out of it (flicking in a downward motion to force juice down into the carto) it wouldn't take anymore. Must be full right? Wrong. Slightly burnt taste. Not burnt filler, just a dry hit from lack of adequate juice.
I now use a needle filler bottle and inject juice straight in through the punch holes. It's quick, easy, and I know the coil area of the carto is going to be 100% soaked. Pluid and Boge filler don't seem to like each other, but I did notice after a short while the filler becomes much more absorbent.
It almost seems like there is some sort of residue on the filler material which stops it from soaking up juice, at least in the beginning. Then as time goes on this wears off and juice soaks in normally. I really hope this isn't the case, there shouldn't be any sort of residue on a new carto, but I can't think of why a brand new carto won't absorb well at all, but after a little juice gets ran through it they're r fine.
