The mod isn't gonna change the flavor. The mod is strictly a way to put power from the cells to the RDA/RTA/RDTA. It's all about the RDA (or whatever you have on the mod) and the build that you put in it. I have a Mason 27mm RDA ($50). I'm able to put large 4mm exotic coils in it. I build alien and staggered fused claptons and they produce good clouds and it has a large amount of coil in contact with the wick plus it has a bunch of small crevices for juice to hang out and end up vaporizing when you hit the fire button. Here is a link to the Mason. They also have a 24mm, 30mm and a 40mm RDA.

Any RDA can be built well for flavor. Its all about understanding the relationship between resistance, power, heat capacity, heat flux, airflow and the temperatures at which the juices you like perform best.

When I say any RDA can be built for flavor I truly mean it. Ive got RDAs of many different styles and varieties and I get wonderful flavor out of all of them. I dont currently have any single coil RDAs but Im looking for a Hadaly to rectify that :D Sometimes building for flavor means closing off the airflow more than you might be used to, sometimes it means building higher resistance with thinner wire for a bit less vapor, sometimes it means running claptons or twisted wires instead of straight coils. Keep tinkering with the Tsunami, you will get it where you want it. FWIW, Ive got the Avocado and it seems very similar to the Tsunami in most respects(build deck, airflow, size), the biggest difference seems to be the tank on the avocado under the build deck making the Avocado an RDTA. My preferred build for flavor on the Avocado is dual coil build using 24AWG at around .3-.4 ohms and about 50W.

Yeah, take a look at YouTube video reviews on the Mason 40mm. They also have what they call a dump tank that is 30mm and 40mm. The 30mm looks good but the 40mm doesn't look good on any mod beings the thing is ginormous.

So what mod are you using at what wattage? What RDA/tank are you using now and what coils at what resistance?

It could be that your friends have different coils that yours doesn't and that could be the reason theirs taste better.

I have 26 different regulated mods, they all vape the same in wattage mode.
It's the RDA, RTA, juice and build that give the flavor.
Nothing wrong trying something else tho.
Sound's like you want a new mod.

A new mod always sounds like a good idea..lol

40mm? that is massive dang, my current setup is just the tsunami 24 but my box sucks...I honestly think it is just the box that makes my vape not as good as my friend's vapes, I have tried theres and there is much more flavor although I get similar clouds. They also use the tsunami just with better boxes.

I think the device can make a difference... I can take the same coil and tank, and get a better flavor on the higher end device from the cheaper device.

Some have said it's due more to the accuracy of the wattage readings, and they might be correct.. you can try that with your friends devices, see if your set up the way it is, tastes altogether different (and thus better) on their boxes..

If it does, then you have your answer.. it's something to do with the box your using - which may or may not have something to do with the accuracy of the wattage it's reading.

I would also note that Ive found that the larger the atty the more metal you might need "under the hood" to get a good flavor out of it. Ive only got 22s and 24s in my collection and when I started with 24s there was a noticeable difference in flavor production. Thinner wires didnt cut it anymore and it really needed big fat wires with lots of surface area to get a good flavorful vape. Im only guessing at this but Id imagine even more might be needed for a 27mm or a 30mm and dont even get me started on a 40mm LOL...again just guessing.

Your right. I noticed that going from the 22mm to the 24mm. I really noticed when I went up to the 27mm. That's why I have to build bigger aliens and staggered fused claptons. I'm wrapping 7-9 wraps around a 4mm to get that larger surface area to produce more vapor in turn producing more flavor. I also noticed I had to up my wattage too.

Yeah the 40mm is just too big. Have you seen a review on it?

Have you found that some of your juices dont taste as nice at the higher wattages or are you running them in TC?

I'm not running in TC. I have some Ti on the way and will run that in TC but to answer your question there are a few juices that I have noticed that doesn't taste "as good" but don't get me wrong, they don't taste bad.

I run SS mostly and for some reason the 200s and the 300 that I use won't stay in TC for some reason. It always goes back to default in wattage mode at 20W.

Just a curiosity more than anything. Personally Ive got some builds that I just cant use certain juices on because I find they dont taste right due to higher temps. Others arent affected as much so I run them on those builds instead.

I haven't had any problem with my juices I make that I can't seem to vape cause they don't taste that great at higher wattages. Now I do notice that if I have a rebuildable deck in a tank flavors seem to be not as flavorful as if I was using an RDA. I've heard from other people they feel the same way.

YUCK RTAs!!!! Cant stand em...well that might be true had I ever felt the need to try them...Im an RDA purist...I wont even squonk. Im actually a little ashamed of my Avocado...but it vapes well so its allowed to stay. :thumb::banana:

Yeah I don't care much for them either. I'm a diehard RDA user. I looked at the Avocado at a local shop and decided to pass on it. I have a couple RTA's that I have had and got rid of cause I didn't care for them (TFV4 & TFV8). I have a TFV12 along with the triple coil build deck coming from China. I preordered it and that was a 1 1/2 months ago and still hasn't shipped. Thinking of canceling the order and getting a refund. I have heard a bunch of good things about the IJoy combo so I ordered one today. I'll see if I like it and if I don't care for it I have a friend that is all about the RTA's and if I don't care for one he buys it from me. He knows I don't care for them too much and within a day or so I know if I like it or not so if I sell it to him he pays me what I paid for it so I'm not loosing money. It's a win win for both of us. I get to try it for free and he gets a new RTA..lol.

Ya a mod can change the flavor if ur using TC same tank my. Rx300 don't hold a candle to the consistency of my DNA 250 board mod just saying
