Vulcan rba: successful builds?

I've had this rda for about a week and cannot find the right build for optimal flavor / clouds.
I'm more of a flavor chaser and have tried it from .6 to 1.8 ohms. It either tastes bad or tastes good with almost no vapor or I have to pull on it for what seems like a full minute.

That being said, what can I do to make this a great vape?
I'm using an rdna 30, tried all watts, used a mech mod with 1.2 build... I'm considering drilling it out but that's the last resort.

Any opinions about the rda or how to build or modify?

I love this RDA, I built a .6 using 28 gauge dual coil. Maybe it is how you are wicking? do you have pics?

Edit: forgot to add I am running 26g royal wire 6/7 wraps dual coil.

This is my favorite rda to use. I don't mess with the "afc" at all, because for me, it's just right when wide open. This also makes for an easier build because I can place the coil where I want.

I run mine at 6 wraps of 24 gauge, giving me .3 ohms. I have the coils right in front of, and a little above the air holes.

I've always run mine using dual coils either 6 wraps of 24gauge or 5 wraps of twisted 26gauge. Comes to about 0.27 ohms and the flavor is one of the best.

Thanks for the responses.
I'm going to try 26 gauge and shoot for .5 ohms
Right now it has 32 gauge with 7 wraps , 1.6 ohm. I was working my way up in ohms but seems I should be going lower instead.
See pic, should I be using less cotton?

I would try closer wraps to concentrate the heat. For my vulcan I use "n" wicks with the tails just touching the deck with Jake's coil placement. Vapes great. I build mine between 0.3-0.8ohms depending on which wire I'm using.

Just got it working great. Used twisted 32 Gauge with 7 wraps, .9 ohms.
Placed the coils in the center with the air holes directly under them with closer wraps and used less cotton.

I'll definitely try a lower ohm build once I get more wire

Get those coils nice and tight, each wrap should be touching the one next to it.

One suggestion would be to leave a little longer leg and pull the coils out a little closer to the air holes.
