There are several of us on the hunt for a bulk distributor of the Ody wick. Its just a matter of time and we will share it w the world. They refuse to tell us because they are making a fortune by selling small quantities only. IMHO.

Imeo covered this in another thread somewhere. If memory serves, you have to buy this silica wick in a rediculous quantity to make it affordable to purchse. There are other wicks but this one was tested out a bit and deemed safer for vaping.

I would love to know the source, as I have enough members that would throw in to make it reasonable. I will see if I can find said thread, I have a feeling that the actual source was never disclosed. Thanks for the info.

I vaguely recollect Imeo had to buy miles of it at a minimum cost of 5,000.00( euro or dollars I don't remember), of course that would of been the 2mm.

If I remember correctly Imeo gets around 2000 Kilometers of this wick at a time.

To have a manufacturing plant make a certain or custom item like 2mm or 3mm wick. You would have to place a large enough order, to make it worth while for both parties.

I agree w you both completely. Thats why I'm thinking Co-op. There are hundreds of members looking for that stuff in bulk right now. We have specifically asked and were refused the name of the source. The vendors are making a fortune on it selling it in small quantities.

I am completely fine with Imeo not saying where He gets his wick. He sells something we all like to buy. Isn't making a profit what it's all about? If we want bulk we keep looking

I love my Nextel XC-116.... Its $1.50 a foot requires a torch or kiln to burn off the coating the factory puts on it before you use it to vape with...
Shipping is expensive so I advise to buy 25 or 30 ft at a time... Its doesnt melt, great for dry burning coils... it will outlast any coil you put on it at any voltage... its not available in all countries but Omega is the supplier for the material they also make a silica version xs-116 that may be available in place of the XC...

I 100% respect your opinion. Looking and discussing is all were doing here, nobody's said a bad word about the guy. Personally I think he's a superhero. (I'm being serious). As far as him not making$, many of us have insisted he raise the price to bring the price above the margin, and he insists on sticking to his original word. Like I said superhero.
We will keep looking and we will even send samples to companies until we can find a bulk distributor that will fill our needs.

i dont make a fortune from selling wick kw. I buy at 0,65 euros and I sell it to my sellers at 1 euros. Earning 0,35 euros per meter will not make me rich. In fact, I make about 1700 euros per 5.000 km and I need 1 month to sell it. If the state takes the half of my money and the VAT is 23% then I make less than 800 euros. Its not a big deal. If I wanted to make money I would sell it at 3-4 euros like other people do with their wicks (that dont have certificates too)

MOQ is 5000 km kei. Last time I talked to them they told me that I have to increase quantity. They want me to double the quantity. We will see how this will go

Imeo, I was talking about the vendors, not you. We are paying approx. $.75 per ft. and we are getting 3 ft at a time. Another member asked where we could buy it in bulk and was refused an answer. I did not mean to imply you were getting rich off of wick. I know better than that, that is silly. I understand you have much bigger things to deal w than the cost per ft of wick. We understand that if a bunch of us get together and make a bulk purchase, we can cut our cost at least in half. I am still learning how to properly wick and coil an Ody. I cannot afford to keep rebuilding my Ody, while I practice at $.75 per ft. Now add on top of that, that the wick is never in stock and its only natural that we are going to seek another source. If I could just order 3 or 4 packages from Bruce, we prob wouldn't even be having this conversation.

My sellers earn 0,5 euros per meter, so their profit is very close to mine. Its not a big deal for them too. But I think that wick is not a big cost on rebuildables comparing to the china atomizers. We use 4cm wick per wire so we can make 25 wires per meter. So the cost is about 2 euros per month. Its not something special for you too as I see it. I dont know if you agree or if I am missing something

Its not even as much about the cost as the availability. I have a large spool of both wires for Ody, I have 2 spools of wire for my Genesis', but I cant even buy wick for Ody. Right now my Ody is using cotton yarn because I dont have a choice. I (and several other members) would like to be able to have a supply of Ody wick on hand. Especially now that a new production run has just been released. Whatever amount of wick the vendors get will be sold out in a few days and then we will be right back to where we are now.
I'm not trying to give you a hard time, you make amazing products, but the products cant perform right if we cant get what we need to keep them operating.

I don't even have my Ody or Penelope yet, and I already think that's a good idea! I don't want to have $300 in beautiful rebuildables and then have to go running to borrow some yarn from grandma to set it up lol. I'm sure whatever you order will go just as fast.
