Good Mod?? 6V or variable

I am on the hunt for a 6V or a variable mod that is durable yet not extremely expensive. Any help or opinion would be great.


FYI

I began my journey over a year ago on an eGo-T 650mAh. I am still loving it but have been using the 1000mAh with LR cartomizers. I did get a locally made box mod with a 900mAh from a friend but still want something bigger and stronger.

Throw in 2 3.0V batts and you're good to go. Cheapest tube mod (I think).

I have an Indulgence which is an inexpensive sort of variable voltage PV. It will do 3.7, 5, 6 and 7.4v. I got it at Vapor Junction for $95 with a discount. I've seen some cheap VV box mods but I can't remember where I saw them. Somebody will come along that will know.

I would suggest a 5 volt or a good variable volt PV. Here are two that are well supported on ECF:

Very few 6 volts because they tend to be too hot for many.

I would also add that the 5v Gold Digger is a very reasonably price mod and I find myself using it more than any of my PV's. 5v is just right!

I really like the Provair its durable and reliable. Not to mention it is back with a year warranty and an optional 2 year. I have been using it for almost 5 months and have only had one issue which provape resolved very quickly. Great customer service at Provape.com

A lot of the mods(look in the classifieds) will use several voltages , by just changing out the batteries . One that I have , is the Prodigy V3.1 , it can vape at 3.7 , 5 , or 6 volts , another , which I happen to have , is the Reo Grand . Again 3.7 , 5 , or 6 volts and both of these are 100% mechanical . No electrics , to fail .

How do they provide 5 volts with no regulation of the batteries which requires electronics? Batteries are 3.0, 3.6 or 3.7 volts according to the battery sites I have visited.

That's interesting. The amount of time NiMH's hold a charge is much less than Li-on's, however, from my experience (other applications) and what I have read.

I dunno. Just saying it's out there. Since I've stocked up on LR atty's, I don't think I'll be heading up to 5 or 6 v anytime soon. Although my mouse finger is itching to buy some mods (Buzz Pro- I'm looking at you, GLV, you too)... and on it goes.

I don't know what's worse. Smoking or buying up all the stuff that's out there for vaping. Either way, the wife ain't happy.

Agreed, I have both the V3.1 and a REO Grand and they are both Bullet proof mods... Right now Puresmoker is running a 20% off everything sale until tomorrow.. The coupon code "SINCE2008" and you can get a new V3.1 6 volt kit pretty cheap..

Just a thought. Get her hooked on cigs - then convert her. You'll be the hero and the mods that don't work for you you can give to her. Hero twice and you can look for more. Happy couple - ever after.
