Aww, Ty...I have a 16 yr old nephew who is also a Ty. He's the youngest of my nephews, so he'll always be the baby, too. :)

And omg I almost forgot! Today is my favorite day of the year! DH and I always celebrated this day like it was Christmas or something. :)

Hi All....I never would have figured that out....Tyler is 12! I'm sure he's going to miss you too....:)
My "baby" called last night because he sprained his ankle and didn't know what to do....he was calling from the sports field where he was throwing and wanted me to tell him what to do next.....literally  I know..it wasn't funny...poor baby...

Happy Autumn kitty! Those sound like some really nice memories...:) Dumb Canuck question..do you even have leaves on the ground to rake up and jump in down there? I have this image of ladies sitting on porches sipping mint juleps..:p

Good Morning VVer's! :)

Annette, I hope you had a great time horseback riding yesterday and that you're not too sore from it today!!;)

LouP, yea, Tyler was 12 when I joined ECF, so that is where my user name came from...guess I never thought about him getting older when I chose that name...LOL!

Kitty, I'm taking my camera, so we'll see about a pic...I'll tell you, I do hate my pic taken, but for you I may make an exception. :)

Good Afternoon All

Iowa Gal it wouldn't let me in either, I thought maybe ECF didn't like me any more lmao.

Annette I'm so sorry you hurt but so glad it was worth it for you. Yeah we use muscles we didn't even know we had when horseback riding. Long hot bath or if you have a hottub or a Jacuzzi would be even better.

I'm so happy for you TY & Iowa Gal that is gonna be so much fun!! I too would love to see a picture will how about ALOT of pics.

Have a great rest of your weekend everyone.

Good Luck water4! I wish I had a workbench with a bunch of tools and (very cool) a torch!! I think I read somewhere about wire mesh too but can't quite picture it. If this works that would make for a near perfect setup. The ease of the nova with no loss of flavour!!
Enjoy your experimenting!

First off, happy belated birthday Annette! LouP and Ty are meeting each other - nice!

I've been pretty busy the last few days, but I finally got a chance to rebuild the Vivi Nova this afternoon. I watched lots of videos so I could learn and I thought that the one by PBusardo was one of the best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6_b-uUKVJg&feature=related

But, I used organic cotton wick instead of the silica wick used in the video, and have been vaping it with some delicious blueberry cheesecake for about 15 minutes now and its great! It took a little while (about 10 minutes) for it to break in - but now the flavor is so good - doesn't taste muted at all. For me, the cotton wick is much better than the silica. I think I am hooked on the cotton wicking. The hardest part of rebuilding was building the coil or wrapping the wire around the cotton wick, but other than that it was pretty easy, and I believe the more I build the coil the easier it will get. I'm going to rebuild all my Vivi Novas now that I know how it is done.

My next project will be an attempt to rebuild the Vivi Nova using stainless steel mesh. After watching some videos on how to do it, it is more complicated and more work than using cotton, but I will give it a shot and see what happens.

I am so happy I was happy to rebuild the Vivi Nova - the flavor of the vape is so pure and flavorful - I am totally enjoying it.

Hope everyone is having or had a great weekend! :toast:

That's so great water4! So it actually corrects the problem of muted flavour!
So now..where did you get your supplies?..how much?...I've got to try this too. The vivis are so sturdy to take out and about and now that I know how not to spill juice where it shouldn't be spilled , they would be perfect for me.

And fyi..it's not me that is going to meet Tyleris12..it is Iowa Gal.

I'm just finishing up the last of my PB and Banana Sandwich. I can finally place another order on Tuesday!!:D

Hope all enjoy the rest of their weekend!

I think I'm finally getting the hang of my Vivi, so thanks for posting your results, w4c! It seems a bit intimidating but it sounds like it's worth the effort! :)

My nephew and his wife brought my little pudgenugget 8 m.o. gr-niece up to see me and we went out for pumpkin pancakes at Orginal House of Pancakes. YUM! The pancakes were pretty good, too. :)

Are you out there, Swer? I hope you're hangin' in there! :)

Pudgenugget! I love it!
Pumpkin pancakes sound yummy too..I've made zucchini pancakes but never pumpkin...did you put maple syrup on them?

Old Man the Cat and I are spending the evening watching his favourite movies..Happy Feet tops the list! He's ...well...he hasn't been able to walk too well this weekend and his rudder is not working...when he tries to turn he falls down. So I've broken out the baby sling, cracked open a tin of sardines, and we're having a cuddlefest.

Kitty, I hope you're liking this weather ...it's freezing outside!:D

LouP, the a/c is still going here. It was much cooler today than it has been (yay!) but still need the a/c late in the afternoon! And yes, mah neighbuhs and Ah will be out on ouwah verandahs lateh this month drinkin' ouwah juleps and watching the leaves fall, y'all. :)

Oh, and the pancakes didn't need syrup. They came with a dollop of whipped cream which was just right!

Up here in the great white north the season is all about laying in firewood for the long, cold winter ahead. If you want to stay "extra" warm then you need to be able to show your expertise with handling the most powerful chainsaw while not so much as chipping your manicure! Instead of bodices, it's all about the cutoff shorts....and no sippin on a julep....you should be able to chug a beer! (burpin the alphabet is also desirable:D) Eh?

Hi LouP,

My supplies are K32 Kanthal A1 32 Resistance Wire (20 feet) for $3 which I got from houseofhybrids.com and cotton square braid candle wick #1/0 (10 yards) from amazon for $7.99. A few tips - boil the cotton wick for about 10 minutes and let it dry completely before using. Also, burn the wire with a lighter prior to wrapping your wick with it - I think this is to make it a bit more flexible. Once you have rewicked the vivi nova head, put another very short piece of the cotton wick on top of the coiled wick before you place the little cap on top - I saw this tip in a couple of threads and it seems to work pretty good for me.

So check out the videos on how to rebuild the vivi nova - there are lots of them out there. I will try and answer any questions you have about the process and wish you lots of luck. Of course, if you do this you need to let us know how it worked for you.

I got ambitious after I rebuilt the vivi nova with the cotton wick so a while ago I thought I would try to do it with the stainless steel mesh. It was more complicated and harder and took a lot longer. So I put some more of the blueberry cheesecake in the tank to compare it with the cotton wick, and have been breaking it in and vaping it for about 15 minutes now and it is tasting really good, but I am liking the vape better with the cotton wick. So for now, I think I will stick with the cotton wick. Its so good and much easier than the mesh.

I got some PB and Banana Sandwich with my last order and it has been steeping for a couple of weeks now, so I am looking forward to trying it soon.

Sorry about the mix up with you and IowaGal. But who knows - maybe some day you will meet Tyleris too!

Well I'm off to rebuild another Vivi Nova - have a nice evening! :vapor:

Hey water4... I watched the Pbursardo video you linked to... I'm curious what will happen to the extra piece of wick you added when it comes time to clean....If this works so well I see no reason to try the mesh...My main issue is with taste. It will probably take me awhile to gather the parts necessary but once I do I will post my results.

I have to say it feels really good to have someone talking to you directly about this....like a friend.... I'm so glad I found this thread and this company...(VV).....OK..mush moment over....

Also....I found that, with the vivi, I do crank my twist up to around 4.0 - 4.2 for best flavour. It seems it's just the CE3s that want a lower voltage.....

I hope you enjoy the PB &B as much as I do...It is unlike anything else I've ever tried. I have NOT tried it in a vivi nova though because I feared for it's flavour integrity!!! I am looking forward to vaping all my favourites in a vivi nova with rewicked heads!!

Now I really can't wait to finally try Kona Coffee Milkshake!

To Iowa Gal and tyleris12.....:toast: I hope you have a great time together!

Happy Monday Morning to All!!!
