Good afternoon VVers! Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Ty, Lyle and Annette - hope you are all feeling better.

I'm afraid that I too have come down with something. I spent most of the weekend parked on the couch with a blanket over me. I think it's the strange spring weather we've had all winter and lack of sleep. I was too excited Friday night after the tank sale to fall asleep and had to be awake early and on the computer again to make my final summer camping reservations when they went on sale at 7am. Talk about stress... I had to do the click on the "send" button as fast as I can thing twice in 12 hours... I am happy to report that I scored both times!!! Got a new lava tank AND secured campground reservations for our favorite site at Olympic National Park. This is a picture of Ruby Beach which is about 5 miles up the road from the campground. It is stunningly beautiful and peaceful there.

Ty - congrats on your win as well! :) I didn't get a chance over the weekend to congratulate you over at the other place.

That looks like such a beautiful place Buckerbie! :) Sale nights for Lava tanks sure can get the heart pumping, huh? Thanks for the congrats and congrats to you too!!!! :D I missed on the last three regular sales, so it was nice to actually score one this time.

Thankfully we don't have to go thru that to get Annette's awesome juices, huh? ;)

Hope you start feeling better soon too, and everyone else who hasn't been well!! I definetly feel better today then I have lately...maybe sleeping so much last night helped...

I have to figure out how to post pics, I am pretty proud of myself, I just got my second redesigned Stainless DCT MAP Tank, (Comes in mirror polish) so I threw a worn out cartozizer in the chuck of my drill, and pressed the end-caps of the tank onto it and did up a nice satin finish on them, to match the end-caps of my Provari, while I was at it, I also threw a Cherry Vapes Stainless ming, (as it comes from them with a bunch of machining marks in it) and took it up to a high polish then back down to a satin. I also polished the inside of the drip-tip and left it mirror, no more machine marks, took me about 2 days to get them perfect. Ah well now to enjoy the fruit of my labor. Kona Coffee and Chai Tea is on the way...

Good Morning Everyone!! :) May your Tuesday be the best possible!!!!

I wanted to share something with you all and especially those who may still be smoking...hopefully my story will help to push you more to vaping totally and no more smoking!

At my doctor’s apt. today they did a lung capacity test on me and what they do is a comparison of where you should be, taking into consideration age, sex, height, weight, yrs. Smoked, etc. and compare it to how you do breathing into a machine…I did not do good. :( My lungs show as 84 years old…and about 50% of where I should be capacity wise.

So now I have two inhalers, one a steroid I have to use twice a day, every day, and one a rescue inhaler for when I get real short of breath. I go back in a month to be re-tested and see if my meds need to be adjusted or changed, etc.

The good part I guess is my issues are not vape related, as I really worried they may have been. But may have COPD or the beginning stages of it…so that part totally sucks!! I am hoping the meds will help at least and allow me to do things more without being so breathless…I guess time will tell. I really am too young (48) to have all these issues, but guess that's what I get for smoking so much for so long!!

Ty, I hope that you feel better soon, and I get what you are saying, I haven't smoked in a little over a month, but still need to work through the effects that smoking has caused, and it's hard to not feel bummed out about it. I need to get back into shape, but my lungs don't seem to want to keep up, so slow and steady, baby steps... I am rooting for ya!

Back home from vacation on Sunday, and slept for what seems like two days. Skiing all day then driving through the night is much harder in your fifties than your twenties!
Tyleris - I probably should go have my lung capacity tested too, but I don't want to know (yet) how much damage my years of smoking did. I'm glad you had the courage to go in and find out where you stand.
Lungs of an 84 year old may sound disastrous but you should see all the stuff my 90 year old cousin, Wes, does. He and his girlfriend polka dance (and win contests), they bike all summer long, and ski all winter. Wes, and his girlfriend, were also on this ski trip and I found them in the hotel exercise room, on the bike and treadmill.
I know I talk about my exercising here, and I am taking it slow and steady to improve my lung capacity. I like the swimming - it doesn't matter to me, at this point, if a lap takes me 10 times longer than the person in the next lane. I'm hoping that what lung capacity I do have left gets better little by little. I want to be 90 and still out there enjoying life like my cousin Wes.

90 and still out there enjoying life! Amen to that, Larkfour! You've inspired me with all of your working out and I've started doing an hour work out most mornings. I love these old workout videos called The Firm (the classics, not the new ones). They were made in the 80's so the music and outfits are a bit amusingly dated but they seriously kick your ....! I had gotten so busy that I had let me workouts fall by the wayside for a while, but whenever I work out it gives me so much energy that I get more done in less time so being busy is really no excuse.

Cheers to good health and enjoying life!:toast:

Larkfour, the reason I went & had the test done was because for at least the last 6 months I haven't been able to reaaly breath. I would be gasping from just climbing the stairs at home or walking between buildings at work...it has been horrible! Only having 50% of what my lung capacity should be hasn't allowed me to do much of anything.:( The good thing now tho, is my doc & I know what the issue is & we can work on making it better with some meds at least.

Thanks for listening everyone and for all your support...especially you Annette, you know how much you've done for me & I hope you know it means the world to me!!

Larkfour, it sounds like you had an awesome trip & it's nice to see you back!! Oh..and if this is filled with typo's, sorry..I'm typing this on my phone...lol! :)

Larkfour, those are wonderful photos! You are one hot mama! :)

Lol - For the past 6 years I've been wearing ski pants that are two sizes too big, to wear over a metal knee brace I have to wear to ski. Eight years ago I took a spill in the black diamond moguls and spent my ski vacation in a hospital bed, after 4 hrs. of surgery to put my knee and leg back together again. Spent 12 weeks in a wheel chair and months of therapy to learn to walk again. This year I got some super sucker inner, .... lifter upper ski pants, and ordered a black brace to wear over them.
Now I don't look like a little kid wearing their older siblings, too large, hand me downs :2cool:

Ohh Tyleris, Gasping walking between buildings sounds downright frightening. So sorry I somehow misinterpreted just how severe your breathing has become. Hope I did not sound flippant explaining my cousins activities at 90.

Larkfour, of course you did not sound that way at all to me!! I know you had no way of knowing how severe my problem was, so please don't think twice about it! :) I am hoping with the meds my doctor is giving me, I will be running around just like your cousins very soon!!!! ;)
