Currently I am trying to cut back my cigarette intake, especially when I am out and about playing ingress. I have been looking at using a vaporizer as an alternative, but with all the information out there I was not sure where to start. So I came here.

Basic needs are as following.
Decent size battery (650mah to 800mah)
Easy to refill (as I am out and about a lot)
And something basic to start. But I don't want to limit my self on later modifications make it more my style.
Any suggestions would be a big help thanks in advance.

I would suggest going to a local vape shop and buying an Evod starter kit. The downside is, you pay a little more. The upside is, you get everything you need (including liquid) to get you started. Try to find one that knows what they're doing. Some do, some don't. Another point is that if you have problems (warranty issues, etc.) you can get a replacement the same day.

If you are wanting something fast you will have to go with a local vendor but there are many online sites that can ship quickly. If you don't mind waiting for a month but want to save bunches of money..... IMO you can't beat Fasttech.com.

I started out on the little cigalikes and then quickly moved to the ego style batterys (which I still use). If you are out and about and looking for something that is easy, economical and has fantastic battery life, you could look into a mvp2. Several vendors have them on sale for around $40. I use mine all the time. I don't know how heavy a tooter you are but I get over a 1000 toots on one battery charge with the mvp2. I'm a pretty heavy tooter so for me I would get less than a 1100 mah battery on the ego. The ones like the 650's will not last me very long. Unless you don't mind carrying extras. All just a personal preferrence.

After I started vaping, I kept on smoking and just tried to cut back on the real cigarettes. I was trying to save money but I had no desire to quit smoking really. Well, I kept cutting back and it got to the point, I kid you not, that I preferred to vape. My normal brand of cigarette started tasting nasty to me. Weird I know. So I sort of quit smoking by accident. I honestly can't see my going back to smoking and after 40+ years......that is pretty awesome to me.

Good luck to you and don't hestitate to ask anyone here anything at all. The people are so wonderful. Good luck to you and I wish you all the luck in the world when you figure out what setup you want to start out with. It really is worth giving it a try. :)

I find that I look forward to vaping more than getting a smoke. I've been off analogs for less than a week and for the first time in history I'm actually not thinking about having a smoke! I smoked for over 30 years and tried to quit many times with not much luck til I got an ego and tank and some menthol juice (16 mgs) from a friend. I upgraded to an ego twist and mini protank 2 and a few new juices. So far that's been good to me. Love the protank mini btw

I think the iTaste vv v3 (800 mah, variable voltage and wattage), with the iClear 16's that come with the starter kit, is about as good as it gets for what you're talking about.

The iTaste is just outstanding... portable, relatively small profile, works as a passthrough, reliable. The variable voltage/wattage may sound complicated, but it's not; just allows you to control how much power you vape with... can make it kinda' hot, or relatively cool... and it's a good enough unit to upgrade your tanks as you grow into the need. The 16's are pretty basic clearomizers but perform well and they're top-filled, so you just unscrew the tip, drop in your juice and you're good to go. About as easy as it's gonna get unless you buy prefilled cartridges (not recommended).

That's my 2 cents... good luck!
