Bought some Nic (72mg VG) from MakeMyVape in the UK and the first bottle I got (used right away) is rancid. It's almost clear, just a slight pink tinge to it, but any mix over 3mg is like vaping what I would imagine a 36mg mix to be.... HARSH!

I've done the usual tests and stripped things back to a naked base (30/70) and tested different levels of Nic up to 6mg and anything over 3mg is harsh and even at 3mg and lower is still peppery.

I'm used to vaping 6mg mixes at semi-high wattages, but I cant handle the harshness of this.

Any recommendations for good quality nicotine, preferably 72mg VG from a UK supplier? MakeMyVape won't be getting my money again.

Many thanks in advance

Andy

For nic in EU, which usually means UK, there are great nic at vapersemporium.co.uk, but they're on holiday a little longer so won't ship out yet. The same nic is sold at everythingliquid.co.uk, but haven't bought from them so can't vouch persay. It's nicselect from alchem, btw.

I think the nic you already got was also from alchem, because they state they get it from switzerland, but then I think they've stored/handled it badly or you where unlucky and gotten a bad batch. The pics on that site also doesn't look that good with very oxidized nic in some of them, but as you stated yours was pretty clear though... I would mail them about a refund as nicselect, when not handled improperly, imho is very clean nic of top quality...

Piratesvape already recommended is very popular, and though I haven't tried them as they don't ship to my country, then I believe they are good and use CNT nic gotten from nerudia in UK but made in switzerland.

For budget priced nic with also Ok rep, is Darkstar, which i've not tried either as same situation for me as above...

I just got some nic in from lubrisolve, which from there discriptions I can figure out the origin is nicobrand, but this batch here isn't very good imho. It's not harsh and is nice and smooth but also has an off taste even at 3mg which is reminiscent of slight chlorine aftertaste... It was perfectly clear though and pretty expensive compared to other vendors...

Thanks sonic :) I buy the same alchem nicselect nic but from vapersemporium.co.uk, but the everythingliquid.co.uk is slightly cheaper so thinking of switching to them, but I wasen't sure about if they store/rebottle the nic in the same good maner as vapersemporium, which is always clear or the slightest pink tint, so they must use fridge or freezer or alike, but i'm glad to have a good cheaper place to consider too.

Btw, lubrisolve has on there main site(not ebay/amazon) lowered there prices considerably for VG(probably also PG but haven't checked), probably to now have even lower prices than e.g. darrant-chemicals. One liter 99.8% min USP/EP VG, is now 2.74 GBP. 5L is 7.49 GBP. Under half price now so very nice indeed and cheapest in EU i'm pretty sure. VG is non-GMO EU rapeseed-derived and good quality(high purity/low water/clean taste).

UK is an EU member still and has up to two years to negotiate there withdrawel from the EU, so until they are actually out of EU, then yes, they should be affected by the TPD as far as i'm aware.

Lubrisolve for one, states they will continue selling nic in 72mg and that it's TPD compliant. I don't know if it's because they get there nic already prediluted from an MHRA certified nic manufacturer(nicobrand).

Another vendor in UK; vapersemporium states this on there page: "We are not affected by the TPD as we do not manufacture E-Liquid but offer tested and certified high quality ingredients for customers to make their own."

The above issue is something that many is split about is true or not and about how the TPD text should be understood exactly.

I'm guessing there will still be 72mg nic available in general in UK/EU, by atleast some vendors, until the vendor in question actually gets hit by a request/fine to takedown the product.

Thanks for the info. I'm planning to move back to the UK in 2 or 3 years and assume I can't take my nic over with me. Just have to hope it stays available until I get there.
