Good Starter E-Juice

Got my vivi nova mini, and ego twist today. I also was sent a bottle of swedish fish 24mg 70/30 ejuice.

While I like the flavor, the vape seems really strong. My throat hurts and I think the nic level is too high.

Can anyone advice me on a good starter juice? I would like something sweet/light (fruit flavors?)

My best advice for you would be to get a few small 3ml bottles from various vendors. Try a few different combination of PG/VG ratios along with nicotine strength. Just to see what works for you.

I'm sure there are going to be various recommendation of flavors. Yet, they might not suit your tastes. So, that's the reasoning behind my suggestion.

I'd be more suspect that it is the high PG ratio that is making your throat hurt - maybe a little of both. Personally, I cannot use any PG.
You might want to go to a site like ECBlends or Mtbakervapor where there are a lot of choices in flavors and ratios of PG/VG. They also are not terribly expensive and have generally good juices. That way you can get a few mixes to try without breaking the bank. I've never ordered from ECBlends but I have tried some of their juice. I have ordered from mtbakervapor and they have really fast service. You might try a 60/40 or 50/50 to see if you tolerate that better - along with a little lower nic level. Peach and Cherry are usually nice flavors to vape.

Think I decided to go DIY, get 250ml PG @ 36MG, and 250ml VG to mix down to 50/50 (depending @ 18mg). Flavors seem really cheap after that.

I think I heard that the DIY calculator at Ahlusion.com was a good one. You may want to play around with it to see how much nicotine you'll need for the final result you are after. Unless you have already done that. Good luck! One day I'd like to try DIY. Also, if you want some cheap and good samples, Heather's Heavenly Vapes also offers 4-3ml sample bottles for $8 and they are popular around here. Gandalf is one of my favs.

I agree, but my favorite so far, even though I am new, is strawberry, mainly because I like the level of the flavor, not too much, not too little, and as for nicotine strength, 11-18MG is the line I go with to have it feel like you're getting nicotine, but not hurt your throat. Personally 16 is my favorite.
