I'm looking to get my husband started on a good cig-a-like since he just can't get the hang of a e-go 900 mah with a clearo. SO my question is: Is the G6 a good starter kit and what pre-filled carts are the closest to a camel full flavor. I've explained to him he needs to commit to getting off analogs before I will buy him any more PV gear. Help!

I like it! I've since purchased a big-rig e-cig but still use the G6 frequently. I used to smoke Camel Filters and the Turkish Tobacco cartos remind me much of them. I would get the highest nicotine strength they offer if I were in your situation. 24mg. If that goes well then you could suggest a bottle of the Turkish Tobacco juice and the 'LR' (low resistance) cartos that make the vapor warmer and the experience even closer to realistic.
Detail Man has it! I was a PAD Marlboro Black smoker and switched to the G6 kit with Tribeca. The LR carts are much more satisfying than the regular cartos. Maybe order him a G6 kit with the LR cartos in place of the pre-filleds and the tobacco sampler pack?
Well, if he doesn't like the ego/clearo, then he won't like the Triton which is an exceptional ego-style battery with a improved T2 style clearo.
The G6 is the BEST alternative, with the appearance of a normal cigarette, ease of use and decent (as compared to a Triton/ego) battery life. HALO makes some of the best hardware when then make it -- lots of thought goes into them to produce a superior product. You can't go wrong with Halo hardware!

Thanks for the great info, i'll talk to him more and make sure he's ready to get off analogs before i buy him a kit. Halo G6 it is with LR cartos (I can help him fill them because he just wants something easy.)
It's not that he doesn't like the clearo set up he's just not in the mindset to use it and he would prefer one more like a cig to get really started. He also doesn't like the sweetness so maybe the Turkish would work plus a sampler for when his tastes change.

Oh...one more thing. Don't forget that if you get the kit, it comes with one pack of cartos. So' I would chose the Turkish Tobacco in 24mg. Then if your budget allows get a pack(or 2) of the LR cartos and like Team RamRod stated above the Tobacco Sampler pack in 24mg would be a great idea! $44.99(kit) + $8.99(one pack LR cartos) + $24.99(Tobacco Sampler)= just under $80 plus shipping. And he's bound to find another flavor or two in the sample pack he likes. The 78mm automatic batteries would probably be best choice too. Longer run time between charges and no button to press, just like a real cigarette.
What I'd like to add is that some of us started out vaping and still smoking a few cigarettes everyday for a while. I smoked 5 cigarettes a day for the first two months while I was "learning" to vape. My husband, who quit smoking 8 years ago, was very supportive along the way. He told me to just go about it anyway that I found worked best for me. I didn't really want to quit, I did it just to get my doctor off my back about it. I was getting tired of his lectures. Bless his little nagging heart.
I've had no contact with cigarettes at all since late January. Your husband may need a little time to vape before he's really ready to give up smoking completely. I didn't fall in love with vaping in the beginning. I have three G6 batteries and one Triton battery. I'm planning on getting another Triton soon. I like using the G6 mini tanks with my Triton battery, that's my favorite set up. So if you get a sample juice kit, think about getting just one of the mini tanks too. They work with both the G6 and Triton battery. I like a lot of the Halo tobacco flavor juices so I think your husband would find he likes some of those too. I smoked for over 50 years, and that's not a typo. So if I can do it, etc, etc. i hope your hubby will be willing to give it a try. Good luck!

I still nearly went with a different set-up, but because HALO was highly regarded for their liquids and their hardware, I chose the Triton. And boy, I'm glad I did.

Everyone's different. I completely gave up cigarettes the day after I got my Triton kit. Smoked for 20 years, and only tried a few Blu disposables beforehand.

This genuinely isn't a post about me. The point I'm trying to make is no matter what, he has to want to give up cigs. The right gear and juices can make it far easier, but if he doesn't want to give them up completely, he won't, regardless of what you get him.

I love reading these 'quit analog' stories. I gave up cigarettes 4 or 5 years ago. But in the past couple have been toying with cigars which led to....a cigar 'habit'. I wasn't even looking to quit altogether. I just wanted to cut down on my cigar consumption. But the Halo juice is so damn good I've more or less lost my desire for cigars. Accidentally quit, I guess. And like you Jefsview, cigars for me were getting costly. Especially since I liked good ones. My last trip down Swisher Sweet street(yuk!)led me to Blu disposables(expensive), which led to research the net and that led me to vapegrl's blog and her high recommendation of Halo. I think timing was key for me, as Jefsview, as I came in as Halo was revamping and reviving their line.
I don't know if I want to be connected to nicotine and vaping forever, but man, I am having a great time! My friends say I have a 'taste' addiction. I sought all kinds of tastes in fine cigars. But also food, cocktail making and tasting, candy, [sorry my post is so long] hot sauces you name it. Anywho...I get excited pondering all the vapor ready flavor extracts out there to try!!!

I am curious about how he can't "get the hang" of the clearo/ego style setup. If he gets into the groove with a G6 it won't be long before he wants the Triton/eGo style setup. I really wish I had skipped the G6 altogether and put that money into a Triton on day one. But I started 2 weeks before the thing existed and had no idea it was coming. That said though, I still use my G6, it has it's applications for sure and I am happy with it as a back up.
When he gets his G6 learn from my mistake - NEVER EVER fill or top off your carto or mini tank (you should really get one, the LR cartos are great and the tanks are even better on the G6) while it is attached. I learned that the hard way recently. Especially if you go with Auto batteries (not a good idea on manual either).

Well talking to him about it is a trial, he's more in the mind set of he would prefer the auto cig-a-likes to help him get started. He's lost him clearo set up a few times (only to find them later) and only used them when he was out of cigs and I won't give him cash for cigs. I don't smoke analogs anymore and it's just a thing between us that he doesn't ask and I don't have to say no. He has plenty of encouragement from me as to what he wants to do and sees that my uncle (who is a heavy smoker) is dying because he just refuses to give up stinkies.
With that said I appreciate all the advice and hope to get him a kit as soon as he decides he's ready. I just want to make sure he's getting a good experience right off the bat and Halo is coming with high recommendations.

Anywho, I get you. Something is either going to take with him or it isn't. I wouldn't push. I didn't even intend to quit smoking. I started out buying disposables and really liked the Njoy kings but they cost too much and didn't last long. But they satisfied the urges. A co-worker had an OMG from vape4life at work and within a few days of talking to her about it I got a G6 and a few generic eGo twists and (unexpectedly I might add) haven't looked back since.
Want to know the really funny and extremely stupid reason I was buying disposables in the first place? Call of Duty. I really only get gaming time late at night and on the weekends. I was playing two rounds and then taking 15 minutes smoke breaks to run outside, burn 2 down, and run back in. It was a hassle. with the disposables I could actually play all night without wasting any of my limited time because my wife couldn't smell em and didn't care if I used them in the house. Dumb isn't it?

Ebbie I wish you guys the best of luck, quitting the cigarettes. Although the Triton/clearomizer combo gives the best vaping pleasure, I absolutely get his desire to keep it simple with a "ciga-like" style slim battery and pre-filled cartomizer, and if that makes it all easier and more familiar, who is to argue? When I started, that is all that I wanted...no ejuice filling, fiddling, etc., although it did not take long to appreciate the better quality vaping of a larger battery/clearomizer combo...however in all honesty, when I began, that would not have appealed to me either.
