Hey guys! Me again. So, I recently bought a tesla two unregulated mod that fires at 4.2 volts, no regulation. Well, I'm looking for a good subtank because this mod can go as low as 0.1 ohms! I'm looking at the uwell Crown because I found one for a good price! Would you guys have any other recommendations before I make my final decision? Thanks! Also, side note, I'm vaping 24mg nicotine right now, this would probably be totally overkill if I started sub vaping, what's a good lower nicotine level that still give throat hit but won't choke me to death? LOL Thanks again!

IMO, if I were you, I would NOT use a sub ohm tank on an unregulated device. NO WAY.
But, that's just me...I'm sure others would disagree, but in terms of safety, especially with sub-ohm, you should really use a regulated device.
Besides, with a regulated device, you can dial in the wattage to find the sweet spot.
In unregulated, there are way too many variables where things can go horribly wrong.
Do as you wish, but please...be safe and Vape On!

Is there really a big safety risk in doing this? This battery works all the way down to 0.1 ohms, but I wouldn't wanna do something that may cause battery explosion or something.

You know, i never really thought I'd be seeing this side but i definitely agree. If you're using an unregulated mod you should know ohms law. And with prebuilt coils, well lets just say i think prebuilts are pieces of $***. I've had more prebuilts short and fry out then my own coils. But ohms law and battery safety still applies no matter what.

I believe that there is...the battery may fire down to .1, but you're hard pressed to find a coil manufacturer that makes coils that low.
.1 firing point is designed for RBA's.
Don't put a sub ohm tank on an unregulated device...err on the side of caution, my friend.
I'd rather you keep your face intact.
Whatever you do, do it safely.
Vape On!

I'm really considering the crown! It just looks all around good to me! I'm just wondering about my mod, an unregulated mod was not a good first choice lol

The Crown is very nice and I would think it would be okay with your mod using the .25Ω or .5Ω coils, but you're going to be at the mercy of the output of your mod.
As for your nic level concern, 3-6mg is the standard range for sub-ohm setups; 24mg is prolly gonna be way too much for you to handle. I'd try getting down to 12 or lower.

Thanks for your response! You think the crown should be okay with my unregulated mod? 4.2V should be alright for it? Thanks again!

I was vaping 18-24 mg nicotine before I got my first sub ohm tank. I went straight down to 6mg for it. It was fine, I didn't get any nicotine withdrawal or anything. This is most likely because I was blowing through juice much faster. I went from about 5 ml of 24 mg a day to 15 ml of 6 a day.

As for a tank recommendation, that's honestly subjective. My first sub ohm tank was a delta II. In my opinion it's a great tank, I still use it quite a bit, although I use the rba head exclusively now.

I've never owned a crown. I do own a Uwell rafale though. I'm not impressed in the least with it. The stock coils have a weird flavor to them, and the "vrba" base is wonky. I hate building and "wicking" it. The tanks been in my drawer collecting dust.
