You need to worry about a security problem. Is you PERSONAL FIREWALL up todate, etc. I get junk all the time I don't read it, If I don't know you I don't read your e-mail
because you may have a worm or somthing , but I have good security that checks all my e-mail first.
It could be someone you know personally and not someone on the forums since they have your e-mail address or gave your e-mail address too..

taz - the email Pete had was a response to his robust views about the Janty Dura. It was almost certainly someone on this forum and as Cage said probably someone who already had his email address.
We need a list of everyone connected to Janty that is on this forum. Maybe SJ could help with that.
If I wanted an email address from someone I would just email them using the forum with some innocuous question and wait for a reply. Perhaps the guy leaving can figure out who has his email (online purchases, friends on here, etc) and work backward from there. I'd probably try just out of curiosity

I'm pretty new to both the ecig and this forum. and sadly have not yet run across many of your posts. That being said, the way what ever you have going on with some gutless POS is effecting you, as well as the way you are dealing with it prompts me to ask you to reconsider. You sound like the type that I would enjoy exchanging points of view with regardless of weather or not we agree on something.
To leave because you have outgrown something like this is one thing. For you to go because you feel chased or harassed away is another. I think that knowing that happened here would cheapen the forum for many of us.

Without going into too many details, it was triggered by my bad experience with the Dura. The first email came from an anonymiser and that surprised me as my ISP normally bounce anything like this. A few more followed from Hotmail accounts, I've complained to Hotmail so we'll see if they stop. The person involved know how to use proxies however.
Perhaps that this is in the open now, the reptile will crawl away under a rock. Apparently my crime was being paid by a rival to knock the Dura both here and on another forum. The language used was err, strong and had racist overtones.
I shouldn't let this get to me but things have been pretty low recently and this didn't help.
Any I'll lurk for a bit and see how things go, thanks for all the support, it is much appreciated.

I don't think for a second it's anyone from Janty, I'm sure they are an honourable outfit, and let's face it one customer moaning is not likely to affect them.
If you are feeling bad anyway then I can see how something like this might get to you. But anyone who takes genuine criticism of an electronic cigarette in a personal way and feels the need to stalk someone because of it clearly has their own problems. Something lacking in their own life.....

Speaking from a LOT of experience, Pete, it's best just to let this kind of crap go.
What I would do, if I were you, is post the emails you received. People often have identifiable speech patterns...This also hold true for typing. Grammar, punctuation habits, etc.
