#8 I need to stop putting it off and go ahead and order me a MVP. The only reason I have not is because I am not to keen on box mods. Not sure why since I have never owned one..

You should I think You will be very happy with it. It's probably smaller than you think it feels good in your hand, has great battery life and built solid

In your honest opinion does it have any advantages over a tube mod? Or is it just a preference thing.
I have both an MVP and a Vamo. The MVP is much more stable when set down upright (say, on my desk). Can I knock it over? Sure. But it's lower center of gravity and wider base means this is less likely to happen. The Vamo requires a battery and a charger in addition to the device--not a problem if you have those, but it does add to the cost for someone making that initial investment. The ability to recharge the MVP also means that you can use it in pass-through mode: vaping while it is recharging. The interface of the MVP is a little easier on the MVP than the Vamo (the Vamo, for example, forgets the display setting every time I remove the battery for a recharge)--your mileage may vary depending on the tube mod in question. Last, the MVP can also charge other devices: switch the mode to output, plug in a USB cord, and charge your phone, for example.

Don't get me wrong, I like my Vamo and am considering adding another tube mode to my collection some time in the future, but the MVP is a versatile workhorse. Getting a second oneranks higher than getting another tube mod for me.

Thank you for that! Nice to see the opinion of someone that has both of what I'm considering! This is a VERY important purchase! :) when... IDK! When I find a cheap one I can afford! Lol

All very valid points. Honestly I had never really thought about the convenience of having a pass-through. I think I am sold simply due to the fact I could carry a USB cable instead of a couple extra batteries for the day. Now just have to factor it into my vaping budget next month..lol

Small or slim enough to fit in a back pocket?

Standing, the MVP is about the height of a pack of cigs (9.5 cm). It is about 2/3s the width (4 cm) and just a smidge narrower (2 cm) in depth. (Had to get my ruler out for that one! :)) Also, the corners along the long edges are slightly rounded. I never carry it in my back pocket, but if you already carry a tube mod in your pocket, you should have no problem with it.

Okay, Okay. I am in for one, hopefully next month.

Yes I carry an SVD in short mode all day every day in my back pocket. So far no mishaps (knock on wood.) Thanks for all the advice and details from everyone.
Peer pressure.... that's how some of us ended up here.:facepalm:

#11 so about the mvp? Has anyone dropped one? I Wonder how durable it is? I've never dropped my spinner but I'm super scared! Are pretty much all devices good being dropped? I have 3 young kids and I'm always juggling tons of stuff! Lol oh my! Sitting outside (getting eaten alive by mosquitoes) and I'm STILL hearing fireworks going off! Lol

I've never dropped mine, but if I had to drop one of the devices that I own, my choice would be the MVP. Actually, if I dropped my MVP, I'd be more concerned for the tank... and my toes.

I think Count is right. I don't get too concerned when I drop one of my Spinner type batts and feel the same about the mvp. It is a little tank. I would be more worried about the round APVs a little more I think. You might even make a little satchel or carrying case with a strap for it. That might even offer some cushioning but not sure it is really needed.

I, too have been holding out on moving into the box mods but since I've gotten just beaten by 1-2 posts or positions on the contest threads like 6 times in a row, now I'm REALLY wanting to get an MVP2. Also looking into the VTR and e-LVT since I already have plenty of batteries and charger for my Zmax.

As far as dropping one, the e-lvt is designed to be able to withstand impacts and there's review videos where people have removed the tank and actually run over it with a truck or bus and it didn't miss a beat when the tank was screwed back on and vaped. It also is waterproof (or water resistant) and the same video review shows someone vaping it in the shower!!! It has a removable 18650 that I think you can charge in it or remove and power out as well as VV/VW. Comes on three colors, carries the moniker "toughest MOD available" and looks like this:

Just don't drop it while plugged in. My friend had his for about a week. He did just that, and it broke the part inside that the cord plugs in to. Had to sell it on eBay for parts.

Dropped mine several times, It's built like a tank, no worries. The juice delivery system (tank, clearo, etc) may break, but the MVP is solid as a rock.
