Those of you who've followed my previous posts regarding my ongoing "discussion" with Google AdWords regarding their "no tobacco" policy ought to enjoy my latest go-round.
After having a pretty decent conversation via email with one of their Customer support people and making MAJOR content changes in our website, graphics and even meta tags and resubmitting our ads for review, we received an email that included the following:
"Please note that we monitor all types of cigarettes including those marketed to help you give up smoking, and those labeled as "alternative cigarettes" (e.g. e-cigarettes or cigarettes without nicotine)."
I love the fact that they now don't want to aid anyone who wants to "give up smoking". I'm nearly convinced that Google is experimenting with selective evolution at this point - hoping that by denial of resource, they can cause smokers to die out within the next few years.
