Welcome to my world LOL. I use to have to put spyware/keyloggers on the computers here to keep track of the 3 pre/teens who used them here. One of their friends figured out they had spyware and turned it off, they never knew it was me. They would just come home from school and it would be back on again. It was a game for a while.
Now my 3 yr old is starting with the internet early, telling me she plays runescape LOL. With her big sisters help of course. Great, the other kids were not using the computer till they were about 6 or 7.
I have mostly girls but they are just as bad if not worse LOL. the 22 year old was the worst. She called the 900 numbers back in the 90's. My bonus son was constantly getting viruses on his computer when he lived here. His mom won't let him use her computer now , so he is sol. All he has now is the phone we pay for so we can call him.

There isn't enough software in the world, the only think you can do is supervise. I'll say this though, girls are just as bad. Maybe not with porn but OMG thier BFFE just had to show them something. I am not all that old but it's a different world than I grew up in.

try opendns. It's an independent DNS server with a website that you can create an account on and set restrictions and monitor internet activity. It's more than likely faster than your ISP's DNS servers to boot.

After catching him doing that I personally would have made it that he can only get on the computer when you are there to watch him. Do that for a while, might not teach him a lesson from looking but it will definitely make him a little more cautious while doing so.... although I know when we first got the internet back in the mid 90's or so I was trying to find naked women all the time... one site had me clicking away deeper and deeper, only to come up to a picture of a penguin with a caption that says "You clicked all this way just to see a penguin in a bikini" I laughed pretty hard...

When my son was about 9, he was looking for water guns by searching "squirter". You cannot imagine what he found. Not funny!

Thanks for the help...and laughs guys. I sicked ProCon Latte on him for now and explained to him the consequences of doing searches like that...like many many bookmarks.LOL I do watch him pretty much but that day he just though I was asleep at my mouse as usual. Yes Elendil...I cant even let my kids listen to the vice president speak anymore...and they wonder why kids are the way they are now days. Even the cartoons think the only way to get a laugh involves some bodily function or the other. Geez...I had to go up to the tool shed and dig my uncles porn mags out of an old pickle barrel when I was his age just to see some black and white pics of women showing their thighs.

Well, at least he has my old slow computer so he wont get into too much too fast...hmmm...did I delete all my bookmarks before I gave it to him???...GOTTA GO!!
