¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I was just thinking:

Has anyone ever found flavorings by brands commonly found in grocery stores (or even kitchen/cooking boutique shops) that have been found to be as safe for vaping as the usual brands we use to DIY (CAP, FA, FW, TFA, INW, etc.)?

Reason I'm asking is merely out of curiosity & in case it comes down to that (doubtful, but you never know).

It all depends on you.
Some of the.. err McCormik flavors can be OK to use, some aren't! Do not use the versions with oil such as the Orange. I have used the raspberry. I do not care for the extra items used in the flavors.
And there are baking flavors in the hobby areas!! Just read the ingredients.

Sure they are (except ones with oils... which many have) The thing is... they are weaker and if you realize the flavors made for vape are "concentrates" then you really are better off going for the usual brands. Besides, flavors should be available no matter what else happens (of course, I can't say that for sure) We could actually use real fruits but the sugar would kill our coils/wicks. So... long answer short... no. I once asked (on a homebrew beer forum) if I could use pecans for flavor (was going to make a dark beer) and yes, it's been done. All you have to do is make an extract, soak up the oil with paper towels, do this four times over and... yea right (gave up on that idea) ;)

So I'm a bit confused. Are these flavors that we buy online strictly made for vaping? I always thought most of the brands like Capella made these flavors before vaping was even around.

If these are made exclusively for vaping, then I can see why some people believe they will be deemed as tobacco products in the USA. I was under the impression they were used for cooking and such long before vaping was a thing.

I guess my point for asking this question is to prepare for that day when we get blind-sided. I'm a prepper at heart.

I don't know about other brands, but TFA is not made for vaping, but for cooking. In fact, they have a disclaimer on their website about using it via inhalation.

    From TFA website:

Inhalation of flavor chemical blends by use of electronic cigarettes is a popular and more chemically pure alternative to traditional tobacco smoking. However, please note that this use of flavors is a relatively new practice, and has not been safety-tested by any official organizations. Therefore, we are not able to endorse any flavors being safe for this use. This would also be true for any other flavor manufacturer. There are no companies that can guarantee that any flavor is safe for inhalation. There has just not been enough time to do this kind of testing.
